CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION – LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE September 11, 2011 – Terrorist Attacks CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION – LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE Photos from Time Magazine , Houston Chronicle and Washington Post Key Events and Findings • The largest single marijuana seizure occurred in the Coastal Bend Sector where THP Victoria Co seized 7,480 lbs of marijuana concealed in a semi tanker trailer towed by a 2007 Freightliner tractor truck traveling on US-59N from Pharr, TX, to Houston, TX. (pg. 72) • The largest single currency seizure occurred in the Laredo Sector where CBP Officers from the Hidalgo POE seized $824,980 USD concealed in the vehicle quarter panels in a 1999 Ford Escort with Mexican license plates. (pg. 50) • In the Laredo Sector, USBP Laredo North Agents at the IH-35 Checkpoint seized 44.6 lbs of methamphetamine from the trunk of a white 1984 Pontiac Fiero. (pg. 44) • Corpus Christi PD and ATF Agents seized 98 AK-47 assault rifles, parts, and manufacturing materials for additional rifles at a residence in Corpus Christi, TX. (pg. 71) • Pharr PD Officers at the Pharr International Bridge inspected two Cargo trucks traveling south into Mexico and discovered 50 Kevlar military-style helmets, 102 ballistic plates for body armor and 50 riot gear-type body armor suits. (pg. 51) • On 02 SEPT 2011, Mexican officials claim that the former No.2 of the Reynosa Plaza, Mario Armando Ramirez Trevino, aka ‖X-20‖ and ―Pelón,‖ has been named the cartel’s new plaza boss for Reynosa, replacing the recently deceased Samuel ―Metro-3‖ Flores Borrego. (pg. 80) • The Mexican Navy broke up a sophisticated communications network used by Los Zetas in the eastern state of Veracruz. Forces seized high-tech communication equipment that included mobile radio transmitters, sophisticated frequency radios, high-end antennas and digital equipment for transmitting encrypted messages. (pg. 80) • Two USCs were kidnapped in Mexico by drug cartel members after being lured across the Texas- Mexico border. Family members paid the $50,000 USD ransom. Both subjects were found by DPS Aviation severely beaten in a rural area of Maverick Co. There were three criminal arrests and two fugitive arrests. The incidents involved: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Attempt to Disarm a Police Officer, Interfering With Public Duties, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest / Detention, and Possession of Marijuana. Folk Bloods Barrio Azteca Bud Smokers Only Just Vandalizing Shit The Barrio Azteca is probably El Paso’s most infamous and troublesome gang. Its roots are in the jail system, and its multiple areas of criminal activities have spread onto the streets. Their main identifiers are the Aztec symbols and the letters ―BA,‖ or the numbers ―21,‖ in which the 2 and the 1 represent the letters ―B‖ and ―A.‖ The El Paso PD gang database shows approximately 857 confirmed 21 on Sombrero members. 2 Feathers with 1 Feather Roman Numeral 21 CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION – LAW ENFORCEMENT SENSITIVE Gang Information (UPDATE) On 28 AUG 2011, an El Paso THP Trooper was informed of a reported stolen vehicle abandoned in northeast El Paso. The vehicle appeared to have been vandalized, and racial slurs were scratched onto the vehicle. DPS CID assisted with the investigation and with an interview of the owner of the vehicle, who is active duty military, and who self admitted to being a previous member of the BLOODS gang in Houston. Due to deception suspected in the owners’ story, the vehicle was inspected further. Blood Wilkins, Treavon R. evidence was located on the hood of the vehicle and it DOB: 05/30/1987 appeared the vehicle had possibly struck a person. An investigation continues by the El Paso PD, the Texas Rangers, and DPS CID. Further investigation revealed that Wilkins is on active duty with the US Army stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. Wilkins’ Facebook account depicts photos of his affiliation with the BLOODS gang. Additionally, some photos have been featured in ―EPNightlife.com‖ (Internet social networking site) flashing gang signs. The original report was commissioned by NADA in order to provide its dealer members (the franchised new-car dealers of America) perspectives on the changing automotive retailing environment. The 2017 report was intended to offer “thought starters” to assist dealers in engaging in strategic planning, looking ahead to roughly 2025.1 In early 2019 NADA determined it was time to update the report, as the environment was continuing to shift. The present document is that update: It represents the findings of new work conducted between May and December of 2019. As about two and a half years have passed since the original DOT, focused on 2025, was issued, this update looks somewhat further out, to the late 2020s. Disclaimers As before, we need to make a few things clear at the outset: 1. In every case we have tried to link our forecast to specific implications for dealers. There is much to be said about the impact of things like electric vehicles and connected cars on society, congestion, the economy, etc. But these impacts lie far beyond the scope of this report, which in its focus on dealerships is already significant in size.     ABSTRACT Get Rich or Die Tryin’: A Semiotic Approach to the Construct of Wealth in Rap Music Kristine Ann Davis, M.A. Mentor: Sara J. Stone, Ph.D. For the past 30 years, rap music has made its way into the mainstream of America, taking an increasingly prominent place in popular culture, particularly for youth, its main consumers. This thesis looks at wealth through the lens of semiotics, an important component of critical/cultural theory, using a hermeneutical analysis of 11 rap songs, spanning the last decade of rap music to find signification and representation of wealth in the rap song lyrics. The research finds three important themes of wealth - relationship between wealth and the opposite sex, wealth that garners respect from other people, and wealth as a signifier for “living the good life” - and five signifiers of wealth – money, cars, attire, liquor, and bling.     WELCOME! Festivarians, music lovers, friends old and new... WELCOME to the 27th version of our annual get-together! This year, we can’t help but look back 50 years to the Summer of Love, the summer of 1967, a year that brought us the Monterey Pop Festival (with such performers as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Otis Redding, Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead) which became an inspiration and template for future music festivals like the one you find yourself at right now. But the hippies of that era would likely refer to what’s going on in the political climate of these United States now as a “bad trip” with the old adage “the more things change, the more they stay the same” coming back into play. Here we are in 2017 with so many of the rights and freedoms that were fought long and hard for over the past 50 years being challenged, reinterpreted or revoked seemingly at warp speed. It’s high time to embrace the two basic tenets of the counterculture movement. First is PEACE. PEACE for your fellow human, PEACE within and PEACE for our planet. The second tenet brings a song to mind - and while the Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band gets all the attention on its 50th anniversary, it’s the final track on their Magical Mystery Tour album (which came out later the same year) that contains the most apropos song for these times. ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. LOVE more, fear less. LOVE is always our answer. Come back to LOVE.

This document is to help employers, employees and the self-employed in film and high-end TV drama production in the UK understand how to work safely during this pandemic, ensuring as many people as possible comply with social distancing guidelines (2m apart, or 1m+ with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable). We hope it gives you freedom within a practical framework to think about what you need to do to continue, or restart, operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand how important it is to work safely and support the health and wellbeing of cast and crew during the COVID- 19 pandemic and not contribute to the spread of the virus. This document has been prepared in consultation with the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) with input from crew and crew representatives, industry bodies, unions and the devolved administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and in consultation with Public Health England (PHE) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
