His practice… and the idea to offer his services are not what are making waves but rather the fact that he started a health and wellness awareness with NGO’s in our community in Strandfontein once a month. Dr. Malapermala believe that no bookings are necessary, as they work on a first come, first serve basis, but patients are welcome to call first if they would like. He says that his sole interest is in primary healthcare and providing for day-to-day health and medical needs, and teaching people to take better care of their bodies to live healthier longer lives. Doctor moved to Strandfontein this year but had always had a dream of helping people. “I believe that medicine is my calling, it’s something that you’re born for, and I have always wanted to do this. People chase money, but I’m tired of chasing money, I don’t want to be the boss and be in charge, I just want to do what I like to do, and that is help people,” Doctor got a very good and experience Team at the Practice; he always involves locals to pro- vide service. Support local NGO’s because he feels they the backbone of our community. We achieve our vision by removing some of the traditional barriers that separate patients from doctors and to give people more control over their health. Diabetes is a risk for heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, amputations and loss of vision. In fact, heart disease is the most common complication of diabetes, encompassing angina, heart attack and heart failure. With good control, these conditions can be avoided. Achieving good control is the challenge for both patient and healthcare provider (HCP). We must never under estimate the benefit of a healthy lifestyle and this is always the building block in any treatment algorithm. Controlled portions, choice of unrefined carbohydrates and good fats, as well as regular exercise are essential to have a holistic approach to managing diabetes. More than two million South Africans are living with diabetes. To improve our community’s present and future health aiming for good control is important. 2016 – 2017 SERVICE DELIVERY AND BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION PLAN The Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan for The City of Cape Town 2016/2017 CONSIDERED BY THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR EXECUTIVE MAYOR NOT APPROVED COMMENT: DATE MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR We have officially reached the final lap of the Integrated Development Plan term, and what a journey it has been. This time has offered us learnings and lessons gained from our accomplishments and our shortcomings. The City’s Service Delivery and Budget Implementation Plan (SDBIP) gives practical effect to our Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget. Its processes and frameworks are used as the benchmarks of service delivery, ensuring the accountability of the administration and its officials and quality services to all citizens of Cape own.T When we drew up the Integrated Development Plan in 2011 we set out to implement 294 initiatives after extensive public participation. I am pleased to announce that as of May 2016, we have already implemented 97% of those. We have achieved this with more than 13 months left until the deadline for completion which is June 2017. I would like to congratulate every single employee for this outstanding achievement. It showcases our commitment to being a responsive government and one which works tirelessly to deliver on the commitments it made to the people it serves. This is the hallmark of a Caring and Well-Run City. The SDBIP gives us the opportunity to promote a purpose and results driven culture within our organisation. This enables us to see our challenges as opportunities, to implement new methodologies, and to refine our service delivery strategy.

We honour his heroism and memory through recording the stories of some of his contemporaries. Cataloguing practices from creation to use: A study of Cape Town Metropolitan Public Libraries in Western Cape Province, South Africa by Madireng Jane Monyela Student number: 215081797 Submitted in fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Information Studies) in the School of Social Sciences, College of Humanities, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa Supervisor: Prof. Stephen Mutula ---------------------------------------------- June, 2019 i Abstract Cataloguing is the process of creating metadata representing information sources such as books, sound recordings, digital video disks (DVDs), journals and other materials found in a library or group of libraries. This process requires the use of standardised cataloguing tools to achieve the bibliographic description, authority control, subject analysis and assignment of classification notation to generate a library catalogue. The well-generated library catalogue serves as an index of a collection of information sources found in libraries that enables the library users to discover which information sources are available and where they are in the library. Such a catalogue should provide information such as the creators’ names, titles, subject terms, standard number, publication area, physical description and notes that describe those information sources to facilitate easy information retrieval. This study sought to investigate cataloguing practices from creation to use in Cape Town Metropolitan public libraries in South Africa with the aim
