5 Pilot Project- SADC Headquarters
• DBFO PPP type • offices, parking, resource centre, facilities management:- cleaning, security, hard facility management • capacity for 250 personnel with option to expand to 400 • 17 year concession- still ongoing • financed 10% equity and 90% debt. • unitary payments P9.8 million per annum • Government of Botswana acted as a guarantor

Project Name Description Ministry Zambezi Integrated Agro- Provision of irrigation infrastructure, water supply to MoA Commercial Development 45,000 Ha, commercial farming, agro-processing and Project related infrastructure in Pandamatenga. Seven crops and fruit trees so far identified as suitable. Water to be abstracted from Chobe/Zambezi River. Reclamation and Treatment of Waste water recycling for portable use with a target MLWS the Gaborone Wastewater of providing Gaborone city with up to 20% of its water supply needs. It involves design, finance, construction, operation and maintenance of a waste water reclamation plant as well as an upgrade of the current Waste Water Treatment plant. Sepopa Prison Farm Design, construction and maintenance of prison MDJS/BPS facility, farm and staff houses for 50 officers in Sepopa. Involves provision of prison farm infrastructure and equipment and storage facilities. The project is to produce food through sustainable 8 agriculture and best management practices. Project Briefs Project Name Description Ministry Land Servicing Provision of integrated infrastructure services to land MLWS in Kasane, Francistown, Ramotswa and Mochudi to facilitate the development of the plots. The services will include roads, storm water drainage, water, sewerage, telecommunication, power reticulations and street lighting.
Establishment of Rehabilitation Design, finance, construct and maintain Offender MDJS/BPS Centre, Lobatse Rehabilitation Centre with capacity of between 600 and 800 inmates offering physiological, educational and vocational programmes to ensure that prisoners are reformed during their incarceration. Secondary Schools Staff Design, finance, construct and maintain 4,000 high MOBE Housing density staff houses for secondary school teachers throughout the country.
9 Project Briefs Project Name Description Ministry Prison Headquarters Building The project entails construction and maintenance of MDJS/BPS modern office accommodation and staff housing for Botswana Prisons Service. It covers administration block, parade ground, parking area, staff housing, security fence and gate house. Three Dikgosi Monument The project is the second phase of the Three Dikgosi MENT Monument. It will involve construction and maintenance of an interpretation centre showcasing information on the history and sovereignty of Botswana, an art gallery, a restaurant, an outdoor meeting/event place with associated landscaping. Gaborone Tourism Precinct The project involves the development of conference, MENT hotel and exhibition facilities and promotion of urban tourism in Gaborone. Serowe Magistrate Court The project entails construction of a Magistrate’s AOJ Court in Serowe.
