The immortal regiment of presidential Cadet School Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020

Victory Day is a day to remember all those who fought bravely, all those who gave their lives so that would be victorious over its enemies. The first Immor- tal Regiment marchBRAIN took place in 2012.

Our school joined the marches to commemorate the participants of the WAVEWorld War II in 2014 – the first spring our school was opened.

The Immortal Regiment is a demonstration of our current dignity, our honor and our courage. According to demographers,BRAIN losses during the Great patriotic War amounted to 11% of the USSR's population. Considering that almost half the country’s families lost one or more of their closest relatives.WAVE Every house has a banner.

“My great grandfather’s name is Sergey Mikhailovich Yarkov. He was born on the 14th of October, 1910. He was tall and thin, his hair was curly. Before World War II he worked in the collective farm. He joined the Army in 1941. During the war my great grandfather was an infantryman, he served as a private. In 1943 Sergey Mikhailovich wasBRAIN wounded and sent to hospital. Then he went home but six months later he returned to the front. My great grandfather fought with the Japanese in the Far East. He arrived home in 1946. “I am Mikhail Ozersky. I’m a cadet of the 5th “A” form. I want to tell you about my great-grandfather. His full name is Evgeny Ivanovich Krysov. He was born in 1925. He took part in World War II. My great-grandfather was a machine gunner. He went to the front at the age of 17. He had some serious wounds and was taken to hospital several times. My great-grandfather was a good sol- dier. “Shavaliev Ilyas Shavalievich was born in 1917 in the village of Kugarchin bulyak, Bashkir ASSR. He was a Second Lieutenant, platoon commander of the 261 separate sapper battalion. Under his command, the platoon, moving ahead of the regiment, removed and defused hundreds of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, built 5 bridges. I am eleven years old. I study in Tyumen Presidential Cadet School. My native town is Surgut. My family is not large and I do not have many relatives. I would like to tell about one of my ancestors who lived many, many years ago. He is my great-grand father. His name is Aleksandr Ivanovich Minin. He wasBRAIN born in 1926. He took part in Great Patriotic War more than 75 years ago. He was a captain of mechanized infantry battalion. He took part in Kurskaya Battle and in the battles for Stalingrad and . For his bravery and courage, he was awarded the Medal of Honour, three Or- ders of Glory and the GoldenWAVE Star of the of the . My great-grandpa died twenty years ago in 2000. Although I have never seen him, I know a lot about his heroic deeds because my family members often tell me about him and wartime. “My name is Egor. I am eleven years old. My family is not large. I do not have many relatives. However, there is one of them, who I am proud of. I would likeBRAIN to tell about my great-grand father. His full name is Isakov Fyodor Andreyevich. My great-grand father was born in 1905 in the village Voznesenka, Tyumen region. When he was thirty-four years old, he was an intelli- gence officer and tookWAVE part in the World War II, which started in 1939 in . He was awarded “The Medal for Battle Merit”. In 1941, he joined the and took part in Great Patriotic War. He was wounded in 1943. In 1944, he was ordered to restore the tel- ephone line and he completed this mission successfully. For this mis- sion he was awarded “The Medal for Bravery”. He reached Berlin in 1945 and was awarded “The Medal for the Victory over ”. In 1978, Fyodor Andreyevich died but my family and I still remember him. We are proud of our heroic and brave relative.” Egor Isakov, 6B

“My great grandfather is Lobanov Ivan Andreevich. He was born on May, 16th in 1915 in Talica, Sverdlovsk region. He went to the front-line in 1941. He was a private at World War II. He was daring, determined, courageous and patient. My great grandfather BRAINth died on December, 9 in 1986, at the age of 71. We’ll never forget him” WAVE Roman Korvyakov, 7B

“I’d like to tell you about the heroes of our family. My great grandfather’s name is Vlasov Trofim Ivanovich. He was a machine-gunner during the Second World War He took part in a heavy battle near Konigsberg and he was award- ed the “Distinguished service order” medal. He was a real hero. My great grandmother MelchakovaBRAIN Evdokiya Vasilyevna did not take part in any battles. She was only twelve years old, when the Second World War began, but she was a member of labour front. She knitted warm socks, scarves and gloves for soviet soldiers. We’re proud of them” WAVE Yaroslav Shalabodov, 7B

“Kiselev Egor Gavrilovich (1924 – 1994) was born in Sverdlovsk region. My granddad joined the Red Army in 1942. He took part in two great battles of the Great

Patriotic War: Stalingrad and the . During the first battle he got two light wounds. But af- ter the second battle he spent a year in Klaiped’s hos- pital. His throat was heavily wounded. “Leushin Gennadiy Aleksandrovich was born in 1924 and died in 1963. He was born in the village of Zherni, Kirov region. He was a cavalryman of the 28th regiment on the border of and Iran. He was awarded the and other medalsBRAIN of honour.

Kolokolcev Mikhail Alekseevich was a native at the village of Novo-Egor, Egoryevskiy district, Altay Krai. He served at War as a private, but he was dismissed from the Soviet Army in 1943 due to a serious injury. He was awarded the Order of the WAVEPatriotic War of the 1st degree. ” Anatoliy Leushin, 6G

“Zhidkov Vitaly Vasilievich (1909-1974)

He was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army on June 22, 1941 in Sverdlovsk (now ), where he was trained as a medical instructor. In early 1942 he was sent to the front. He served as a medical sergeant. Discharged from the frontBRAIN in 1944 due to injury, my great grandfather returned home disabled. According to his wife: “During the war, apparently, he saw enough deaths and terrible human sufferings. He remembered the horrors of war until his death ". Zhidkova WAVEClaudia Zakharovna (1911 - 2006) When the Great Patriotic War began, she worked on the railway in Tavda (Sverdlovsk region) as a senior accountant. While working in the district committee, she made a report: “All our explanatory work was built to make people understand that all forces today go to provide the army with everything it needs. According to the slogan "Everything for the front, everything for the Victory." I am proud of my ancestors.”

“Yakovlev Dmitry Mikhailovich was born in the city of Kurgan on October 29, 1910. Graduated from the Kuibyshev Siberian Highway Institute in Omsk. My great-grandfather returned from the war with the rank of captain. For military merit he was awarded a number of government awards. Great-grandmother said that my great-grandfatherBRAIN worked for Society for Assistance to Defense, Aviation and Chemical Construction. Dmitry Mikhailovich worked at the Tyumen Industrial Institute from the moment of its organization and, practically, until the end of his life. From 1964 to 1972, he headed the team of the Department of Graphics and Descriptive Geometry. All the difficulties of the organizationalWAVE period fell on his shoulders. Before retir- ing, he worked as a deputy dean of the Faculty of Mechanics. In general, my great-grandfather was a creative person. “Okunev Konstantin Grigorievich was born in 1919 in the village of Ryansa Serdobsk district of Penza region. In 1939 he was called up for mili- tary service by Serdobsky district military enlistment office, he served in the border troops of the KGB of the USSR on the Russian-Chinese border. He met the great patriotic warBRAIN at a military post on the border with Manchuria, he guarded the borders of our homeland from Japanese invaders. He took a direct part in the fighting with . In the autumn of 1943, he was trans- ferred to the 1st Ukrainian front, in which he took a direct part in the libera- tion of Western from the German invaders. Even after the victory in May 1945, he continued to serve on the western border of our homeland. He returned from the militaryWAVE service in 1947. He was awarded the order of the Great Patriotic war of the 2nd degree, the medal "for military merit" and others. He died in October 1999, and was buried in Novoulyanovsk, Ulya- novsk region.” Dmitriy Okunev, 8G

“Safronova Roza Ivanovna. My great grandmother was born in the village of Filatovskoe, Sukholozhsky district, Sverdlovsk region. Even before the war she finished a secen-year school in Sukhoi Log and the courses of accountants. She worked in the Kunar village council. When the war began she became a nurse in the hospital. In BRAINApril 1942, an eighteen-year-old girl volunteered for the front. She was sent to Leningrad. She joined the Baltic Fleet and was given sailor uniforms there. During one of the shelling Rosa was wounded, but sur- vived. Soon a group “100” from the girls-sailors was created to be sent to the Islands of the Gulf of . Rose joined it. She had to build a defense line together with the men. HerWAVE main duty was to take care of the wounded. In 1943 she was awarded the medal “For the Defense of Leningrad” Denis Fesunov, 6G

“Tayschikov Gabden was born in 1910, Kostanay region. In 1942 he enlisted in the army. He was a private in 385th division in Leningrad. He participated in Leningrad operation and in Estonian battle. In 1944 while fighting for Narvy city, the grenade hurt his leg. He carried this wound all his life. He celebrated the Victory in hospital. He had the Great War medal, Leningrad battle medal and lots of others. He died on July, 31 in 1998.” Ilgiz Nuruyasov, 6E Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Loyko Maria Fyodorovna (1930-2018), a Great War veteran, a labour veteran. She was born in Omsk. She only finished 4 grades of the primary school, and at the age of 12 went to work for a tank mechanical engineering factory, evacuated from Leningrad. She worked picking up frozen potatoes and wheat for the army.BRAIN Afther the War she brought up 13 brothers. One of them was my great grandfather, who was an armour crewman. He lost his arm in the terrible battle. My grandparents have a lot of medals, because they loved and were proud of our Fatherland. “ WAVESergey Dekanov, 6E

Merkushov Dmitriy Sergeevich (1909 – 1975) was born in a peasant family in a village Novo-Plotava Altay region. From the age of 15 he was a millworker and a director of the store house. In 1929 he enlisted in the Army. He was a private, then a captain there. In 1941 he became a major and commanded a company near Rovno, Lvov.For the good work he was given a “Red Star” medal. At War he was wounded and after the hospital he worked as a teacher in Tyumen Military school until June 1946. Later he worked in the Tyumen government. My great grandfather was awarded with two medals of “Red Star” and a medal for “The Victory in Germany”. Igor Rasulov, 6E

“Vershinin Vasily Efimovich was born in 1909 in Irbit, on Stepan Razin Street. He volunteered for the front in early July 1941. He was 32 years of age that time. His family stayed in Irbit. He was a signalman at war. He fought on the Leningrad front in area, guarded the “Road of Life”. He was wounded and sent to hospital.BRAIN He came back home in October 1945. My great grandfather was awarded with: “Medal for Courage”, “For Victory over Germany”, “For the Defense of Leningrad”, the badge “Voroshilovsky shooter”. Egor Kotov, 6D

“I want to tell you about my grandfather, who took part in Great Patriotic War. His name was Starkov Nikolay Mikhailovich. He was born in 1914 in Molotovskay region in the USSR. Nikolay studied in Borisoglebskay military pilot school. He was a pilot. Nikolay killed 20 German planed and more than 100 enemies. He was awarded with the Order of , the Red Banner and the Red Star. “Timofey DorofeevichBRAIN Zemtsov was born in 1912 in the village of Golyshmanovo, Tyumen region. He had 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Timofey worked as a blacksmith in an Elevator. He fought near Leningrad. During the war he was wounded and returned to his native village to work as a black- smith. In 1985 he was awarded the order of the Patriotic war II by the Minister of Defense of the USSR.WAVE Timofey Dorofeevich died at the age of 91.” Nikita Sultanov, 7E
