BRAIN BRAINWAVE NUMBER 12 (DECEMBER 2020) WAVE Read in the issue: Years to remember People to be proud of The immortal regiment of Tyumen presidential Cadet School Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 Victory Day is a day to remember all those who fought bravely, all those who gave their lives so that Russia would be victorious over its enemies. The first Immor- tal Regiment marchBRAIN took place in 2012. Our school joined the marches to commemorate the participants of the WAVEWorld War II in 2014 – the first spring our school was opened. Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 The Immortal Regiment is a demonstration of our current dignity, our honor and our courage. According to demographers,BRAIN losses during the Great patriotic War amounted to 11% of the USSR's population. Considering that almost half the country’s families lost one or more of their closest relatives.WAVE Every house has a banner. Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “My great grandfather’s name is Sergey Mikhailovich Yarkov. He was born on the 14th of October, 1910. He was tall and thin, his hair was curly. Before World War II he worked in the collective farm. He joined the Army in 1941. During the war my great grandfather was an infantryman, he served as a private. In 1943 Sergey Mikhailovich wasBRAIN wounded and sent to hospital. Then he went home but six months later he returned to the front. My great grandfather fought with the Japanese in the Far East. He arrived home in 1946. He died on the 29th of November, 1979.” Nikita WAVEBraun, 5G “I am Mikhail Ozersky. I’m a cadet of the 5th “A” form. I want to tell you about my great-grandfather. His full name is Evgeny Ivanovich Krysov. He was born in 1925. He took part in World War II. My great-grandfather was a machine gunner. He went to the front at the age of 17. He had some serious wounds and was taken to hospital several times. My great-grandfather was a good sol- dier. He was very brave. He received a medal for Valor. I’m very proud of my great-grandfather.” Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Shavaliev Ilyas Shavalievich was born in 1917 in the village of Kugarchin bulyak, Bashkir ASSR. He was a Second Lieutenant, platoon commander of the 261 separate sapper battalion. Under his command, the platoon, moving ahead of the regiment, removed and defused hundreds of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, built 5 bridges. ForBRAIN his skillful tasks performance and personal bravery, he was awarded the medal for Military Merit and the order of the Red Star.” Albert Gaysin,WAVE 7E Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “My name is Matvey. I am eleven years old. I study in Tyumen Presidential Cadet School. My native town is Surgut. My family is not large and I do not have many relatives. I would like to tell about one of my ancestors who lived many, many years ago. He is my great-grand father. His name is Aleksandr Ivanovich Minin. He wasBRAIN born in 1926. He took part in Great Patriotic War more than 75 years ago. He was a captain of mechanized infantry battalion. He took part in Kurskaya Battle and in the battles for Stalingrad and Berlin. For his bravery and courage, he was awarded the Medal of Honour, three Or- ders of Glory and the GoldenWAVE Star of the Hero of the Soviet Union. My great-grandpa died twenty years ago in 2000. Although I have never seen him, I know a lot about his heroic deeds because my family members often tell me about him and wartime. I am proud to have such a brave and glorious relative. “ Matvey Minin, 6V Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “My name is Egor. I am eleven years old. My family is not large. I do not have many relatives. However, there is one of them, who I am proud of. I would likeBRAIN to tell about my great-grand father. His full name is Isakov Fyodor Andreyevich. My great-grand father was born in 1905 in the village Voznesenka, Tyumen region. When he was thirty-four years old, he was an intelli- gence officer and tookWAVE part in the World War II, which started in 1939 in Europe. He was awarded “The Medal for Battle Merit”. In 1941, he joined the Red Army and took part in Great Patriotic War. He was wounded in 1943. In 1944, he was ordered to restore the tel- ephone line and he completed this mission successfully. For this mis- sion he was awarded “The Medal for Bravery”. He reached Berlin in 1945 and was awarded “The Medal for the Victory over Germany”. In 1978, Fyodor Andreyevich died but my family and I still remember him. We are proud of our heroic and brave relative.” Egor Isakov, 6B Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “My great grandfather is Lobanov Ivan Andreevich. He was born on May, 16th in 1915 in Talica, Sverdlovsk region. He went to the front-line in 1941. He was a private at World War II. He was daring, determined, courageous and patient. My great grandfather BRAINth died on December, 9 in 1986, at the age of 71. We’ll never forget him” WAVE Roman Korvyakov, 7B Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “I’d like to tell you about the heroes of our family. My great grandfather’s name is Vlasov Trofim Ivanovich. He was a machine-gunner during the Second World War He took part in a heavy battle near Konigsberg and he was award- ed the “Distinguished service order” medal. He was a real hero. My great grandmother MelchakovaBRAIN Evdokiya Vasilyevna did not take part in any battles. She was only twelve years old, when the Second World War began, but she was a member of labour front. She knitted warm socks, scarves and gloves for soviet soldiers. We’re proud of them” WAVE Yaroslav Shalabodov, 7B “Kiselev Egor Gavrilovich (1924 – 1994) was born in Sverdlovsk region. My granddad joined the Red Army in 1942. He took part in two great battles of the Great Patriotic War: Stalingrad and the Siege of Leningrad. During the first battle he got two light wounds. But af- ter the second battle he spent a year in Klaiped’s hos- pital. His throat was heavily wounded. Luckily, my granddad came back home after the War and was awarded with the medal in a rank of junior sergeant.” Aleksey Potapov, 6E Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Leushin Gennadiy Aleksandrovich was born in 1924 and died in 1963. He was born in the village of Zherni, Kirov region. He was a cavalryman of the 28th regiment on the border of Turkey and Iran. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and other medalsBRAIN of honour. Kolokolcev Mikhail Alekseevich was a native at the village of Novo-Egor, Egoryevskiy district, Altay Krai. He served at War as a private, but he was dismissed from the Soviet Army in 1943 due to a serious injury. He was awarded the Order of the WAVEPatriotic War of the 1st degree. ” Anatoliy Leushin, 6G Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Zhidkov Vitaly Vasilievich (1909-1974) He was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army on June 22, 1941 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), where he was trained as a medical instructor. In early 1942 he was sent to the front. He served as a medical sergeant. Discharged from the frontBRAIN in 1944 due to injury, my great grandfather returned home disabled. According to his wife: “During the war, apparently, he saw enough deaths and terrible human sufferings. He remembered the horrors of war until his death ". Zhidkova WAVEClaudia Zakharovna (1911 - 2006) When the Great Patriotic War began, she worked on the railway in Tavda (Sverdlovsk region) as a senior accountant. While working in the district committee, she made a report: “All our explanatory work was built to make people understand that all forces today go to provide the army with everything it needs. According to the slogan "Everything for the front, everything for the Victory." I am proud of my ancestors.” Makar Yarkin, 7B Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Yakovlev Dmitry Mikhailovich was born in the city of Kurgan on October 29, 1910. Graduated from the Kuibyshev Siberian Highway Institute in Omsk. My great-grandfather returned from the war with the rank of captain. For military merit he was awarded a number of government awards. Great-grandmother said that my great-grandfatherBRAIN worked for Society for Assistance to Defense, Aviation and Chemical Construction. Dmitry Mikhailovich worked at the Tyumen Industrial Institute from the moment of its organization and, practically, until the end of his life. From 1964 to 1972, he headed the team of the Department of Graphics and Descriptive Geometry. All the difficulties of the organizationalWAVE period fell on his shoulders. Before retir- ing, he worked as a deputy dean of the Faculty of Mechanics. In general, my great-grandfather was a creative person. He painted copies of pictures from postcards, he loved to draw in oils, gouache and pencil. Dmitry Mikhailovich Yakovlev died at the age of 68 after a short illness” Peter Shutov , 6G Brain wave №12 DECEMBER 2020 “Okunev Konstantin Grigorievich was born in 1919 in the village of Ryansa Serdobsk district of Penza region. In 1939 he was called up for mili- tary service by Serdobsky district military enlistment office, he served in the border troops of the KGB of the USSR on the Russian-Chinese border. He met the great patriotic warBRAIN at a military post on the border with Manchuria, he guarded the borders of our homeland from Japanese invaders.
