Head coaches TONY DUNGY of the Colts, ROD MARINELLI of the and NICK SABAN of the Dolphins are the nominees for Motorola NFL Coach of the Week honors for games played November 5-6, the NFL announced today.

Fans can vote on NFL.com for the head coach whose game plan played the greatest role in his team’s victory. Voting will take place from Tuesday morning through noon EST on Friday to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week. The winner will be announced Friday afternoon on NFL.com. In January, voting will be held on NFL.com to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.

A closer look at the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week nominees:

• Indianapolis’ TONY DUNGY, whose Colts traveled to Denver last week and knocked off a strong Broncos squad, led his team into Gillette Stadium on Sunday night and came out as the head coach of only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. Dungy’s Colts were led by , who threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns, and , who caught eight of Manning’s passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. The Indianapolis defense also made a statement on Sunday night, creating five turnovers to help the Colts improve to 8-0.

• Detroit’s ROD MARINELLI had his team well-prepared for its matchup with red-hot Atlanta, as the Lions defeated the Falcons 30-14. Atlanta entered the game fresh off of consecutive wins in which threw a total of seven touchdown passes. The Lions held Vick to 163 passing yards and intercepted him twice, including an by Dre Bly that gave Detroit the ball at the Atlanta two-yardline and led to a Kevin Jones touchdown run. Jones had 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the day, and Roy Williams caught six passes for 138 yards and one touchdown in the win.

• Miami’s NICK SABAN led his Dolphins into Soldier Field, home of the previously undefeated , and came away with a 31-13 victory behind an inspired effort from his defense and a strong running attack led by Ronnie Brown. The Dolphins defense forced six turnovers, including an interception by defensive end Jason Taylor that he returned 20 yards for a touchdown to give Miami a 14-3 lead in the second quarter. Brown carried 29 times for 157 yards and quarterback Joey Harrington threw three touchdown passes to earn the Dolphins their second win of the season.
