It is the 24th issue of the series. The general observation and status of the various sectors of the State’s economy is briefly discussed in Part-I and supporting statistical tables are presented in Part-II. Some of the chapters/tables have been modified in the present issue on the basis of the data-base made available by the different Agencies/Departments. The district level data presented herein relates to the 9 (Nine) Districts which existed before the creation of the new 7 (Seven) Districts in December, 2016 except those for which the concerned department is able to furnish information for the 16 districts. Their engagement brought about real chance in their lives. This change was reflected in their socialand economic behavior. Having money to spend which women themselves have earned in an ethical way helped to build their self-image and confidence. This confidence further propelled them to venture into territories which were otherwise reserved for men. This paradigm shift brought better visibility for women and greater participation in the decision making process. This participation in decision making brought yet another feminine dimension in its decision which brought about greater acceptance. The SHG not only created economic forums but also build in women capacity to think, analyze, critique and harness many of the nature‟s resources and turn into cash. SHG enabled them to save these money and reinvest into new projects. This paper is a close follow up of their life and it had used participatory action research method to document these invisible nuances of their lives.
