A YOY increase of ` 1511.25 crores have been registered over June’16. Details may be seen on page nos 7, 8, 35 & 36. Advances: There is an increase of Rs. 249.44 crores in aggregate advances during June, 2017 quarter over the March, 2017 quarter level which is an increase of 7.25%. A YOY increased of ` 701.30 crores over June’16 level. Details may be seen on page nos. 7, 8, 35 & 36. Priority Sector Advances: There is an aggregate increase of ` 118.25 crores during June’17 quarter over the March’17 quarter which is an increased of 5.38%. A YOY increased of ` 337.56 crores over June’16 level. Bankwise position of priority sector advances is given on page no 39. C.D. Ratio: The CD ratio (CDR1) increased by 6% by 49% from last quarter. Some banks viz; BOI, BOM, CNB, HDF, PNB, SYB, UOB and MSCB have crossed the level of 60% and other Banks viz; ALB, AXB, BAND, CBI, ICI, IDB, INB, SBI, UBI, UCO, VJB, IUCB, MPCB and MWCB have achieved CD ratio above 40%.

    PLP 2016-17 Imphal East District EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Theme of the PLP is “Accelerating the pace of capital formation in agriculture and allied sector” The valley district of Imphal East (709 sq km) has two separate valley areas i.e. Imphal valley and Jiribam which is about 222 km away from state capital, Imphal. Jiribam is the only place, which is connected by rail line from Silchar in Assam. Proposed railway line from Jiribam to Tupul is expected to ease transport problem of the state. The Loktak Lake in the valley, which covers an area of 216 sq km is the biggest fresh water lake in the North Eastern Region of India. The Valley area is known as the ‘Rice Bowl’ of Manipur. The total population of Imphal East District is 456113 of which male is 226094 and female is 230019. Rural population is 272906 and Urban population is 183207. The Literacy rate is 83 per cent. The district has three blocks viz. Imphal East I, Imphal East II and Jiribam block which lies southwest of Tamenglong District and bordering the State of Assam, as part of Imphal east District. District H.Q. is at Porompat. The total number of village is 195. The total number of Cultivator is 27895 out of these 9398 is agriculture labourer. The total gross irrigated area is 47900 ha. The district is equipped with 2 Dispensaries, 10 Primary Health Centre, 53 Primary Health Sub-Centres, 1 Hospitals, Post Offices in 46 villages, 154 villages got electric supply.     Chapter 1: Introduction 1.1. District Profile The district of Kakching came into existence on the 8thDecember 2016 when the State Government announced the formation of 7 new district through a notification of the Government of Manipur, (Secretariat: Revenue Department Order No. 16/20/2016-R dated 8th December 2016), (Manipur Extraordinary Gazette No. 408 of 9.12.2016). It is situated in the southeastern part of Manipur. It is bounded by Thoubal and Imphal West districts on the north, Tengnoupal and Chandel districts on the east, Bishnupur districts on the west and Chandel district on the south. Its average elevation is not very much different from the rest of the Manipur Valley, which is about 790 metres on an average above the mean sea level. Although the district is a part of the valley, the area of the district is not entirely plain. Many rivers flow through the district and many lakes dot its surface, some of which are closely inter-twined with many folk tales and stories. 4(four) Assembly Constituencies namely Hiyanglam Assembly Constituency, Wabgai Assembly Constituency, Sugnu Assembly Constituency and Kakching Assembly Constituency fall under the District.Kakching district comprises of two sub-divisionsnamely Kakching and Waikhong. It has 3 Municipal Councils namely, Kakching, Sugnu and Kakching Khunou. The district has two community development blocks one each at Kakching and Waikhong sub-division. 1.2. Administrative Setup The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner (Collector) is the head of the district. He is assisted in this work by other officers and staff as are appointed from time to time.
