EMERGING LACROSSE NATIONS

The World Lacrosse Development Committee provides resources to assist emerging lacrosse nations under the following conditions:

• The sport is being introduced within an educational system or solid organizational structure. • A clear, unified leadership group within the nation is identified. • A Development Questionnaire is submitted by the nation. • A three-year development plan is prepared and submitted to the Development Committee (the Development Committee can provide assistance with this as needed).

INFORMATION ABOUT AVAILABLE ASSISTANCE Assistance with the development of lacrosse in your country may take the following format: • Subsidizing the cost of lacrosse equipment/equipment grants • Supplying information/contacts for lacrosse equipment manufacturers • Resources materials: Instructional Manuals/Videos/Rulebooks, etc. • Contact names of people in the region who have experience with lacrosse development • Officials/Coaches willing to travel to developing nations to conduct clinics • Coordination of team travel to/from your nation

To progress to Associate membership of World Lacrosse the following documents need to be submitted with this questionnaire:

• Copy of the Articles, By-Laws, Constitution or Statutes • Listing of Board / Committee members • Status of Organization (e.g. set up as “not for profit”) • A set of the most current minutes to confirm that a meeting of the organization has been held. • A copy of the Operational Plan / Proposals for the development of lacrosse within the country • The subscription dues are $250 (US) per annum from the first full year of membership.
