Plant Inventory No. 207 Is the Official Listing of Plant Materials Accepted Into the U.S United States Department of Agriculture Plant Inventory Agricultural Research Service No. 207 Plant Materials Introduced in 1998 (Nos. 601817 - 606707) Foreword Plant Inventory No. 207 is the official listing of plant materials accepted into the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS) between January 1 and December 31, 1998 and includes PI 601817 to PI 606707. The NPGS is managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS). The information on each accession is essentially the information provided with the plant material when it was obtained by the NPGS. The information on an accession in the NPGS database may change as additional knowledge is obtained. The Germplasm Resources Information Network (http://www.ars-grin.gov/npgs/index.html) is the database for the NPGS and should be consulted for the current accession and evaluation information and to request germplasm. While the USDA/ARS attempts to maintain accurate information on all NPGS accessions, it is not responsible for the quality of the information it has been provided. Susceptible to leaf rust, tan spot, septoria leaf blotch, and wheat streak mosaic virus. Heterogeneous for resistance to the Great Plains Biotype of Hessian fly. Coleoptile length very long and straw strength medium. End-use quality characteristics include very high test weight, very large kernels with high kernel weight, very low flour ash, excellent flour extraction, high flour protein content, high water absorption with average mixing time, good mixing tolerance, and good loaf volume. Awned, red-glumed, medium-late maturity, medium-tall, hard red winter with good winterhardiness. Moderately resistant to stem rust, tan spot, septoria leaf blotch, and wheat streak mosaic virus. Prostrate growth similar to Florunner but lateral branch terminals more lifted and main stem less prominent. Flowers seldom on main stem, fruiting irregular on alternate nodes, sometimes near sequential. Pods mostly two-seeded with moderate constriction, slight beaks, and moderate reticulation. Tan testae. Pod and seed length and width 3-4% larger and 100-seed weight 5% heavier than Florunner. The following were developed by Lynn M. The majority of viruses in the genus Potyvirus are transmitted by aphids in a non-persistent, non-circulative manner and have been extensively studied vis-à-vis their structure, taxonomy, evolution, diagnosis, transmission and molecular interactions with hosts. This comprehensive review exclusively discusses potyviruses and their transmission by aphid vectors, specifically in the light of several virus, aphid and plant factors, and how their interplay influences potyviral binding in aphids, aphid behavior and fitness, host plant biochemistry, virus epidemics, and transmission bottlenecks. We present the heatmap of the global distribution of potyvirus species, variation in the potyviral coat protein gene, and top aphid vectors of potyviruses. Lastly, we examine how the fundamental understanding of these multi-partite interactions through multi-omics approaches is already contributing to, and can have future implications for, devising effective and sustainable management strategies against aphid- transmitted potyviruses to global agriculture.

Itinerary Day 1 - Arrive in Lisbon Arrival in Lisbon. Meet at the airport with our English speaking representative. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Day 2 - Full Day Lisbon & Tuk Tuk Ride Meals included: Breakfast In the morning, meet your driver and Local guide for a tour of Lisbon, including the Belém quarter, with the Belém Tower, the church of the Hieronymites Monastery and Monument of the Discoveries. During your day, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the famous Pastel de Belém, the Portuguese custard tart. Lunch on your terms. In the afternoon, you’ll also have the chance to explore the ancient neighborhoods of Lisbon, like Alfama, on board of a Tuk Tuk (about 1 hour). Afterwards you’ll proceed to the Rossio and Praça do Comércio area, where you’ll have some free time. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Lisbon. Correo-e: [email protected] Resumen: Actualmente la Sierra de Santa Rosa es una de las pocas áreas reminiscentes medianamente conservadas en Guanajuato, ya que desafortunadamente el estado se ha caracterizado por la degradación de su cubierta vegetal desde tiempos coloniales. En este estudio florístico se registran 21 taxa infraespecíficos, 496 especies, 273 géneros y 93 familias de plantas vas- culares. De éstas, la familia Asteraceae tiene la mayor riqueza de especies, seguida por Poaceae y Lamiaceae. Se registraron tres especies (Selaginella porphyrospora, Zigadenus virescens y Gentiana spathacea) que están incluidas en la Norma Oficial Mexicana de Especies Amenazadas. Se encontró que la riqueza florística de parte de esta sierra es significativa, ya que a pesar de representar una proporción relativamente pequeña (aprox. 0.45%) del área que abarca el proyecto Flora del Bajío y de Regiones Adyacentes (que ocupa alrededor de 50,000 km2), el número de especies equivale a 8.7% del número estimado para esa flora.
