Rote Liste Spinner Und Schwärmer
HESSISCHES MINISTERIUM NATUR FÜR UMWELT, LANDWIRTSCHAFT IN HESSEN UND FORSTEN Rote Liste der Spinner und Schwärmer Hessens 1 Rote Liste der „Spinner und Schwärmer im weiteren Sinn” Hessens (Lepidoptera; „Bombyces et Sphinges” sensu lato) Hepialidae (Wurzelbohrer), Limacodidae (Schneckenspinner oder Assel- spinner), Sesiidae (Glasflügler), Cossidae (Bohrer), Thyrididae (Fenster- schwärmerchen), Lasiocampidae (Glucken), Endromidae (Scheckflügel), Saturniidae (Pfauenspinner), Lemoniidae (Herbstspinner), Sphingidae (Schwärmer), Drepanidae (Sichelflügler und Wollrückenspinner oder Eulenspinner), Notodontidae (Zahnspinner), Lymantriidae (Trägspinner), Nolidae (Kleinbären), Arctiidae (Bärenspinner) (Erste Fassung, Stand: 23.11.1998), Zusammengestellt im Auftrag des Hessischen Ministeriums für Umwelt, Landwirtschaft und Forsten im Namen der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Hessischer Lepidopterologen (Arge HeLep) von Andreas C. Lange und Jan T. Roth unter Mitwirkung von Mitarbeitern der Arge HeLep Anschrift der Autoren: Andreas C. Lange, Teutonenstraße 48, 65187 Wiesbaden Jan T. Roth, Westendstraße 49, 60325 Frankfurt/M. Red Data list of the ”Bombyces et Sphinges” sensu lato of Hesse (as of November, 23rd, 1998) Abstract: According to present knowledge 189 species of the ”Bombyces et Sphinges” sensu lato are recorded to occur presently or have been recorded in the past in the Federal State of Hesse, Federal Republic of Germany. The status of endangerment as defined by the criteria based on the IUCN-categories is considered as following: 0 ( = extinct) 16 species; 1 ( = nearly extinct) 8 species; 2 ( = highly endangered) 12 species; 3 ( = endangered) 24 species. In 11 species the data is not sufficent for classification, but endangerment is highly probable due to their confinement to endangered biotopes. 6 species are declining but not actually endangered. In 6 species data is deficient because of taxonomic or methodic difficulties. -

Lepidoptera, Sesiidae, endemics, widespread species, macro-ecology, spatial auto-regression, latitudinal gradient, longitudinal gradient, coherence, range size, postglacial colonization Abstract. Although the sizes of the geographical ranges of plant and animal species are of major interest to macroecologists, the spa- tial distributions and environmental correlates of only a small group of animals and plants are well studied. Here data on the spatial distributions of 116 European clearwing moths (Sesiidae) was used to determine the patterns in spatial distribution, postglacial colo- nization and endemism. The spatial distributions of sesiids are significantly more coherent and there are fewer isolated occurrences and unexpected absences than predicted by a random sample null model. After correcting for environmental correlates, islands and mainland countries did not differ significantly in the number of species with small ranges. Polyphagous wood attending species were more widespread than those with other life histories. Species of Siberian origin had wider ranges than those of Mediterranean origin. Nestedness and species co-occurrence analysis did not support a unidirectional postglacial colonization from a Southern European refuge but colonization from both Southern and Eastern Europe. -
Insect Egg Size and Shape Evolve with Ecology but Not Developmental Rate Samuel H
ARTICLE https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-019-1302-4 Insect egg size and shape evolve with ecology but not developmental rate Samuel H. Church1,4*, Seth Donoughe1,3,4, Bruno A. S. de Medeiros1 & Cassandra G. Extavour1,2* Over the course of evolution, organism size has diversified markedly. Changes in size are thought to have occurred because of developmental, morphological and/or ecological pressures. To perform phylogenetic tests of the potential effects of these pressures, here we generated a dataset of more than ten thousand descriptions of insect eggs, and combined these with genetic and life-history datasets. We show that, across eight orders of magnitude of variation in egg volume, the relationship between size and shape itself evolves, such that previously predicted global patterns of scaling do not adequately explain the diversity in egg shapes. We show that egg size is not correlated with developmental rate and that, for many insects, egg size is not correlated with adult body size. Instead, we find that the evolution of parasitoidism and aquatic oviposition help to explain the diversification in the size and shape of insect eggs. Our study suggests that where eggs are laid, rather than universal allometric constants, underlies the evolution of insect egg size and shape. Size is a fundamental factor in many biological processes. The size of an 526 families and every currently described extant hexapod order24 organism may affect interactions both with other organisms and with (Fig. 1a and Supplementary Fig. 1). We combined this dataset with the environment1,2, it scales with features of morphology and physi- backbone hexapod phylogenies25,26 that we enriched to include taxa ology3, and larger animals often have higher fitness4. -

Scalercio & S. Greco Abstract In this paper we described the Heterocera fauna of the Calabrian black pine forest in the Sila Massif, southern Italy. We sampled 15 stands at 1270-1446 meters of altitude. One UV-Led light traps per stand was turned on once per month from May to November 2015 and from April to November 2016. We collected 18,827 individuals belonging to 367 species. Thaumetopoea pityocampa (Notodontidae) and Alcis repandata (Geometridae) were the most abundant species. Conifers are the main larval foodplant of 11 species and 4,984 individuals. Particularly interesting was the presence of Eupithecia indigata, discovered in Italy outside the Alps few years ago, abundant in pure Calabrian black pine stands. Also, the recently described Italian endemic Hylaea mediterranea was abundant, and together with E.
