The LGIP amendment will commence on 19 April 2021. The amendment replaces the existing LGIP in Part 4 and Schedule 3 of the Central Highlands Regional Council Planning Scheme 2016, and associated support material. The LGIP identifies and plans the trunk infrastructure that is needed now and into the future to support the development within our region in a coordinated, efficient and financially sustainable manner. It assists decision-making for proposed developments and associated trunk infrastructure requirements (such as water, sewerage and road networks), enables council to recoup some of the cost of providing and maintaining trunk infrastructure from new development, and assists in long-term asset management and financial planning. The adopted LGIP can be viewed online at: https://eplan.chrc.qld.gov.au/planningscheme/ For further information, please contact Council’s Development and Planning Unit on 1300 242 686 or email [email protected] Scott Mason Chief Executive Officer Central Highlands Regional Council www.centralhighlands.qld.gov.au © The State of Queensland 2021 Copyright protects this publication.
