The book is written in a deliberately "nonacademic" style and covers a wide range of topics including breed ing, manipulation of the environment to induce breed ing, conservation offish genetic resources, and techniques used for marking and tagging broodstock. Résumé - L'ouvrage fait le point des connaissances actuelles en matière d'endocrinologie de la reproduction du poisson dans le souci d'une application bien concrète : la manipulation de cette fonction pour les besoins de la pisciculture.

Somehow, making oil refineries more efficient using mathematics and computers paled in comparison to the joy of handling books. Oak Knoll Press, the second part of the business, was established in 1978 as a logical extension of Oak Knoll Books. Today, Oak Knoll Books is a thriving company that maintains an inventory of about 25,000 titles. Our main specialties continue to be books about bibliography, book collecting, book design, book illustration, book selling, bookbinding, bookplates, children’s books, Delaware books, fine press books, forgery, graphic arts, libraries, literary criticism, marbling, papermaking, printing history, publishing, typography & type specimens, and writing & calligraphy — plus books about the history of all of these fields. However, little is known about the signalling pathway of ROS in plants with CAM metabolism, other than the knowledge that ROS production is limited in CAM plants. In the present study, we assessed the effects of drought stress on reactive oxygen species and antioxidant enzyme activities in leaf portions of Guzmania monostachia. The exposure of G. monostachia plants to 10 days of water deficit led to a decrease in the leaf relative water content (RWC) from 75% to 50% in all leaf portions (apical, middle and basal); hence, it was concluded that plants subjected to drought produced higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) when compared with control plants. Significant variations to the formation of ROS were also identified in all leaf portions during the diurnal cycle. After ten days of CAM induction, H2O2 concentration increased significantly in contrast to control plants during the day-night cycle. In addition, the activity of antioxidant enzymes in processes related to the elimination of ROS was also evaluated.
