MEN ’S CLUB

MEN’S CLUB MUSINGS... BY JOEY LEBOVIC

The Executive Committee (EC) of the Men’s Club meets about 8 times per year to “conduct business” – that includes formulating policies and assisting the President in Men’s Club operations/planning. The Board of Trustees (BOT) is composed of the EC and up to 20 elected or appointed members. The BOT meets 6 times per year to vote on items related to the management of the Men’s Club. I really appreciate the brainpower each EC/BOT member expends to help improve our club in support of Adat Shalom and thank them all for their efforts. Please join either team if you are supportive of maintaining a strong club. I want to highlight several new/revised events on the 2019-20 calendar based on EC/BOT and membership feedback. Details will be posted in the near future: ~ Veteran’s Brunch (a continued local Men’s Clubs event) – November 10 ~ Men’s Shabbat Retreat with Rabbi Bergman – January 11 ~ Hangin’ with Hazz’n Gross – March 18 ~ Father & Sons Event in April

In June the BOT voted to end our affiliation with FJMC (Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs) and focus more resources on local events. We will still participate in their Yom HaShoah Yellow Candle program. As always, feel free to contact me at [email protected] with any questions. I look forward to meeting you at one of our events. 13 CELEBRATIONS
