2021 National Information Sheet

DATES July 18, 2021 through July 31, 2021 TRAVEL PLANS Our Council jamboree contingent will leave SeaTac Airport on July 18, 2021 and fly to Washington D.C. Our tour will include the Smithsonian Museums, National Archives, US Capitol Building, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Gettysburg, and Arlington National Cemetery. A special illuminated night tour of famous memorials is planned. The contingent will arrive at The Summit Bechtel Reserve on July 21, 2021, and camp through the morning of July 30th, followed by departure to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens before returning home July 31st via SeaTac Airport. The BSA registration portal opens in December 2019 (Jamboree..org).

ORGANIZATION Jamboree registration is on a first-come basis to all who qualify. Scouts will be assigned to a jamboree troop consisting of 36 Scouts and four adult leaders, or a Venture crew consisting of 10 or more Venturers and 2 adult leaders. Youth will be a member of a patrol within the troop or crew.

TOTAL COST $3,995 for all participants.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE Deposit of $150, due upon submission of Request to Attend form First payment of $600 is due January 15, 2020 Second payment of $1,200 is due June 15, 2020 Third payment of $1,200 is due January 15, 2021 Final payment of $845 is due May 1, 2021 (Scouts can earn credit by participating in the council sponsored popcorn sale during the fall of 2020)

FEE INCLUDES The jamboree fee covers all transportation, tours, admissions, meals, lodging, insurance, and training events before and after the jamboree. Individual expenses will be personal equipment, , and spending money.

REFUND POLICY If you sign up for the jamboree and cannot attend, you will receive a full refund as long as there is an alternate to take your place. In the event there is no alternate, a partial refund may be granted.
