TASTING NOTES Our winemaker combined a selection of , and grapes for our 2017 Red Blend, producing a with intricate layers of complexity and supple tannins. Sumptuous aromas of red fruit on the nose are backed by hints of vanilla and brown spice over plum, boysenberry and ripe cherry notes on the palate. Our Red Blend is incredibly food-friendly, equally delightful with Monday night’s leftover lasagna or your favorite grilled steak. VINTAGE NOTES Our Red Blend features grapes selected from specific AVAs throughout the Columbia Valley. For 2017 we sourced mostly from Yakima Valley for the quality and expression of its red , especially Syrah, which added the complexity we were seeking for this vintage. A cooler and wetter winter kicked off Harvest 2017 before mild, sunny weather returned producing fruit of excellent quality. COLUMBIA VALLEY AVA As ’s largest appellation, the Columbia Valley comprises nearly all of the state's total vinifera grape plantings. Its volcanic, well-drained, sandy loam soils stress the vines to yield robust and concentrated flavors in our grapes. In most parts of the Columbia Valley, there is an average of 16 hours of sunlight and only eight inches of rainfall. This combination lends itself to the creation of unique with intense color, flavor and structure.

WINEMAKING After harvest, the grapes for our blend were destemmed FINISHED WINE and gently transferred to fermenters. Fermentation APPELLATION: Columbia Valley occurred in stainless-steel tanks for up to 10 days at a CONTENT: 60% Syrah, 26% Merlot and maximum temperature of 90°F. Throughout 14% Malbec fermentation, we performed selective rack and returns ALCOHOL LEVEL: 13.9% on individual tanks for optimal extraction of color and PH: 3.81 RESIDUAL SUGAR: 5.0 g/mL flavor. This wine saw both French and American oak to TITRATABLE ACIDITY: 5.5 g/mL create well-integrated flavors and a rich mouthfeel.
