That wasn’t his first time dealing with fires though. He has experienced four fires, and he put the other three fires out before the fire department even arrived. A funny coincidence was that Mr. Tilly responded to the fire at the school, where he would become the Head Custodian in the near future. Another not so favorite memory was the time he ran into the glass in the back of the school near the commons with a piece of machinery, and it shattered everywhere. Yeah, that was an awkward moment. Luckily the principal at the time was Mr. Dosko, and he didn’t freak out about it. Speaking of principals, there have only been three principals the whole time he has worked here! The school has had about six vice principals, and three different head custodians also during that time. Mr. Wolf is a custodian who has worked loyally at Mr. Wolf’s four children all attended KMS. Even KMS for 30 years. That’s right, 30! He is retiring this though sometimes they caused trouble, parent teacher year, mainly to spend more time with his conferences were fairly easy to set up. Also, seeing his grandchildren. On the one hand, we will all miss him, kids at school every now and then was a great thing to but on the other hand, we are super excited for him to look forward to. The staff and the kids are major parts begin this stage in his life! of the joy he has at work. Seeing kids being more Mr. Wolf began working here when our school was active rather than staring at screens always puts a smile still Kenai Junior High. Nikiski Middle/High School on his face. wasn’t finished being built yet, which made the grade His grandkids are a major part of why he has been sizes here exponentially larger in population. Mr. considering retiring for the past few years, but he Wolf said that the grades began as 7th, 8th, and 9th finally got the courage to do it. He says, “Retirement grade, then 7th and 8th, and then finally 6th, 7th, and has to be on your own time, so you get that closure you 8th grade.
