1. Fly to (BCN).

2. Follow the yellow signs to the buses (Interurbans/Intercity/Interurbanos):

3. If you have arrived at Terminal 1, you will go down a long flight of steps/escalators which lead to a huge empty hall with the entrance to the Metro on the far side. The doors out to the airport bus are back in the opposite direction – behind the steps as it were, but not well signed.

4. Take the blue airport bus (Aerobús) into the city centre and get off at the last stop – the Plaça de Catalunya (or Plaza Catalunya in Spanish – electronic signs are in Catalan first and then Spanish). The Aerobús runs from both airport terminals (T1 and T2) every 5 or 10 minutes. A one-way ticket (sencillo) costs €5.90. A return ticket (ida y vuelta) is €10.20 and is valid for 15 days. The journey time is about 35-minutes.

Warning: at the Plaça Espanya (notice to your right the huge brick towers with pointed tops which are the entrance to Montjuïc Park) on the Aerobús route, there is a hotel confusingly called the Plaza with a big sign – this is not your stop!

5. Get off at Plaça de Catalunya – this is the terminus. Look for the fountains ahead and to your left – the train station is underground below the fountains. Although it advertises itself as the Metro (L1 and L3), there is also a national rail station (RENFE) there. Once underground, look for the RENFE (national rail) or Rodalies (Barcelona metropolitan railway system) signs. You are travelling on Rodalies.

9. When you come out of the railway station at Manresa, turn left. A few yards ahead of you and to your right is a road bridge across the River Cardoner (Riu ) and then continues across a busy road. Cross the bridge and turn right on the other side.

10. Follow the road downhill below the high escarpment on which the old town and cathedral are built, past the entrance to La Seu underground carpark on your left. You will pass a forked junction back to your right and then come to a roundabout. Take the first left-hand turning off the roundabout and head up the steep hill. Cross over to the other side of the road.

11. Ahead of you is a high-level footbridge across the road. Before that and almost immediately on your right there is a very unpromising-looking road with a tool hire firm (Remi Rent) on the left.

12. Go along this road (Camí de la Cova) until you come to this sign:

Notes:

 If you prefer to purchase your airport bus (Aerobús) tickets online and print them out, you can do so here: http://www.aerobusbcn.com/en/buy-tickets Tickets are valid for 90 days.

 The timetable for the Rodalies R4 train is here: http://rodalies.gencat.cat/en/horaris/ You are travelling from Barcelona Plaça Catalunya to Manresa. Trains run about every 30- minutes.

 There are four railway stations in Manresa – the one you want is the main RENFE/Rodalies station by the river.

 If, for any reason, you are forced to use a different route, you can also travel by Line 5 (L5) from Barcelona to Manresa (operated by railway company Ferrocarrils de la or FGC). You can connect to L5 at Plaça España (Plaza España) – the airport bus stops there. The L5 train goes all the way to Manresa but you need to get off at a station called Manresa Viladordis. When you come out of the station, orient yourself by walking uphill – and you are then travelling in the right direction (map below). You do not need to insert your ticket to exit the station – just walk through the barrier and it will open. The walk from the station to the Spirituality Centre is about 10-minutes:
