RIVER fest 2014

celebrating the waterfront and supporting the greenway in the northwest bronx

A project of the Friends of the Greenway in

www.riverdaleriverfest.org Now, for the first time, Local businesses can become Riverfest sponsors!

This year’s event — celebrating the waterfront and supporting the Greenway in the northwest Bronx — will feature a keepsake program published as a supplement to The Riverdale Press, circulated to 10,000 households and given out at RiverFest. It’s a great advertising opportunity. And you’ll be featured in a local business corner at the event organized and coordinated by the Kingsbridge-Riverdale-Van Cortlandt Development Corp. (KRVC).

About RiverFest

Riverdale RiverFest — on Sunday, June 15th from 12 to 6 p.m. on the riverfront campus of the College of Mount Saint Vincent — is produced by a coalition of volunteer residents and community groups as a festival to celebrate the Hudson River, to support the Bronx Greenway Link and the prospect of public access to the river in the Bronx. Admission to RiverFest is free. The first festival in 2010 drew 3,000 participants from the northwest Bronx and beyond, and each year it has grown. Festival-goers enjoy fun activities, learn about the environment, as well as local community groups and businesses, and have a unique opportunity to experience the river firsthand by sailing aboard a tall ship or an antique fireboat off their own shoreline. About the Riverdale Press Program

The program, which will feature event details and greenway maps and information, will be printed and published by The Riverdale Press. 10,000 copies will be included as an insert in the June 12th edition of The Press. Hundreds of copies of the program will also be distributed at RiverFest. Local businesses interested in sponsorship and/or advertising should contact Tracy McCabe Shelton at [email protected] or 917-570-9027 or Catherine Dolan at [email protected] or 718 543-6065, ext. 325.
