935. KUGLER

1. JergG Kugler, of Eschach, in the lordship of Limpurg,[1] died before 1665. He is known from the first marriage record of his son Matthäus, who moved to the duchy of Württemberg.[2]

2. MatthäusF Kugler[3] (JergG) was born about 1641. From the time of his first marriage until his death, he was an inhabitant of Mettelberg in the parish of Murrhardt, Württemberg. This was one of the settlements, formerly of the county of Löwenstein, of which Württemberg had assumed the sovereignty in 1504.[4] Matthäus was buried at Murrhardt on 23 February 1720, aged about 79 years.[5] He was first married at Murrhardt on 2 May 1665 to Waldburga (____) Hinderer, widow of Jerg Hinderer of Mettelberg.[6] She was born about 1609 and buried at Murrhardt on 7 January 1674, aged about 64 years, an inhabitant of Mettelberg.[7] She and Matthäus had no children. Matthäus married secondly at Murrhardt on 7 July 1674, Margaretha Wurst.[8] She was baptized at Murrhardt on 4 May 1655, daughter of Bartholomäus and Christina (____) Wurst of Hinterwestermurr, parish of Murrhardt (see 1871. Wurst, 3, viii.). The sponsor at her baptism was Anna Maria, wife of Burckhard Föll of Murrhardt.[9] Margaretha died on 2 February 1736, aged 81 years less 4 months and 4 days, and was buried at Murrhardt.[10] Children of MatthäusF and Margaretha (Wurst) Kugler, baptized at Murrhardt, are: i. Murrhardt,[12] m. Murrhardt 25 April 1699 HANS MICHAEL BRAUN,[13] bp. 18 Oct. 1676, son of Hanß Jacob and Mar- garetha (Stiffel) Braun of Fornsbach, sp. Hanß Michael Forstnacht, Schultheiß of Sulzbach, Hanß Jerg Schilpp of Fornsbach, and Anna, widow of Leonhardt Ellinger of Neustetten,[14] inhabitant of Forns- bach, d. 8 Jan. 1747, aged 71y 2m 21d, bur. Murrhardt.[15]
