# Agenda Discussions Action points 1 Welcome and introduction OCHA warmly welcomed the team and the team introduced themselves to each other.

2 ACTED; ACTED has constructed 120 shelter for the 120 natural disaster affected families Clusters updates ( WASH, Yaftal district of , the construction work completed 95%. Health, Nutrition, FSAC, and ACTED implements the ERM project in Badakhshan province, and actively participates in Shelter) Natural disaster and conflict IDP assessments. WFP will distribute one month ration SCI; has sufficient Tents, Hygiene kits and family kit in its stock, in case of requirement in Baharak f for the 2310 individuals SCI will distribute for the natural disaster affected families. (330 families) who have received only Concern WW update; one month ration on December 2015. 1. Construction of 57 family latrine in 2 villages of Kohistan village, it’s started recently and will be finish within the next 2 months- the purpose budget for this is: 12236 USD 2. As reported before under emergency ( humanitarian fund) Concern is constructing a UNHCR will provide the list of 330 footbridge in Zoo village of Yawan which more than 530 family, its 95% done- its conflict IDPs who have received only budget is 14429 USD one month ration based on UNHCR 3. A water supply project is being implemented in Kohistan district centre which 128 request on Dec.2015. family will have access to safe drinking water , its recently started and its budget is: 11974 USD 4. School boundary wall under education programme: its under construction in Pasopol WFP and UNHCR will distribute food of Kohistan district, its purposed budget it: 2865 USD. and NFI items for 3836 conflict IDPs 5. A protection wall under humanitarian funds in Kohistan- its 50% progressed till now , (548 families) who have been verified it will protect 128 family assets etc, and its purposed budget is: 23792 USD by the assessment teams, in Baharak 6. A protection wall in Ajn village of Yawan- its completed, where 377 family will benefit district of Badakhshan province. from this intervention, it budget was 14429 USD 7. A School boundary wall in Kalar village of Raghistan- it will start soon, all school student will benefit from this intervention, its purposed budget is: 2726 USD. 8. Concern has stated so many NRM/ agricultural and livelihoods related activities in 3 districts (Raghistan, Yawan and Kohistan) which more than 300 family will directly benefit from these interventions. The activities are Watershed development and NRM activities, such as NRM technique on watershed areas, livestock, and other livelihood opportunities. Concern has also so many DRR activities in all 3 districts under its resilience projects which team are currently in identification of activities, signing of MoUs with communities and district official which the physical activities interventions will start within the next few weeks. 10. Concern had assessed 40 last year earthquake affected families in Argo which now 40 winterization kits are delivered to FZD office and will be distributed soon with coordination of ANDMA in Argo to those identified affected people. 11. A footbridge has been surveyed in centre, this is being designed, estimation to see how if we could construct this bridge, this will have very high impact. 12. Concern has planned to construct 6 Grain banks under its resilience project in both Kohistan and Yawan districts within the next week. FOCUS; FOCUS implements Risk Reduction and construction projects in Badakhshan border districts. Risk Reduction; established weather monitoring posts in eleven districts of Badakhshan province such as Darwaz, Shaki , Nosai, Mahi May, , Eshkashiem , Zebak, , Jurm, and Kuran wa Minjan districts. FOCUS trained three volunteers in each monitoring post in named districts. The posts equipped by required tools. Construction project; one girls school was destroyed due to landslide in Shighnan district of Badakhshan province , FOCUS reconstruct one school building in previous school’s compound, the old building is not usable. The project is funded by USAID.

NPO; is one of the UNHCR implanter, NPO distributes food and NFI in emergencies. Recently NPO has distributed food and NFI for 3339 individuals (477 families) who have been verified by the assessment team in Faizabad city. NPO mentioned that name of 12 beneficiaries in the list which was submitted to NPO by Badakhshan DoRR was changed by correction. Out of 477 beneficiaries 24 of them were absent, their share which was food and NFI was kept in NPO’s warehouse their contacts was not in access areas, finally the UNHCR mission distributed the absent beneficiaries’ share for the poor people who have gather in front of the NPO warehouse . GIZ actively participates in natural disaster and conflict IDP assessment, provides transportation and one of its staff to join the assessment teams in emergencies.

WAW; is one of the UNHCR implementer, WAW actively participates in conflict IDP assessments focusing the protection issue in conflict emergencies. WASH has provided GBV training which information is giving to the IDPs about their gender base violence and children rights in Keshem, Faizabad, Jurm and Baharak districts of Badakhshan province. Afghan Aid; implements the FSAC CFW project which was cleaning of 12 canals in shahada and Yaftal districts of Badakhshan province. Afghan Aid actively participates in conflict IDP and natural disaster assessments, provides staff and vehicle to the join assessment teams.

UNICEF updates; UNICEF plans to distribute winter clothes for the children in cold districts of Badakhshan such as Yawan, Kohistan, Raghistan and . One assessment has deployed to conduct survey for beneficiaries selection after completion of survey UNICEF will distribute the allocated clothes for the verified beneficiaries.

IOM update; IOM plans to construct gabion protection walls in tow vulnerable points which are identified in Keshem and Yaftal districts of Badakhshan province, each gabion project wall contents of 200 lengths.

IOM totally has 366 emergency shelter kits, 1984 blanket module, 550 family module, 1388 winter warm clothing, 1007 solar module, 200 family tents in its Faizabad stock.

WHO; On first of Aug 2016 WHO has started vaccination campaign in nine cold districts of Badakhshan province, the mentioned nine districts were missed the vaccination programs. Through this campaign 54000 children received polio vaccination. Conflict and security constraints caused that 2120 children missed the polio vaccination. WHO has committed to provide 20 emergency beds Keshem and Baharak districts of Badakhshan province. WHO has provided medical training for the 284 medical staff in Badakhshan provincial level.

WHO; measles campaign will be conducted in first of September 2016 to cover 60,000 children from 6 months to 12 years age in Zebak,Wakhan ,Kuran wa Minjan , Shuhadah Nosai, Kofab , Mahi may and Darwaz bala districts of Badakhshan province.

WHO and UNICEF reported about the Bloody diarrhea outbreak in Wakhan and Ishkashim districts so far 450 children treated. No dead case recorded, the treatment is still ongoing.

WFP; has plan to distribution one month ration for the 330 families who have received only one month ration on December 2015, the request was done by UNHCR in December 2015, WFP asks UNHCR to provide beneficiaries list. WFP plans distribute food items for 3836 conflict IDPs (548 families) who have been verified by the assessment teams, in Baharak district of Badakhshan province. WFP recently reached to a verbal agreement with commander Habib who ALP commander in Baharak Warduj frontline for delivery the 102 MT food for the Warduj beneficiaries Harassment of second allocation fund.

NAC; provided Hygiene education for 38 self-help groups in Argo, Darayem keshem , and Yaftal districts of Badakhshan province.

3 Humanitarian gaps (respected Humanitarian WHO; actors will share the information about the  Supplying 2CHC clinic forbidden in Warduj district, the last supply which was humanitarian gaps in allocated for the Warduj clinic expired but we could not supply the clinic. case exist in their working  Supplying CHC clinics is also a problem in Yamgan district which is under the control districts). of , the CHC clinics work 30% in Yamgan district.The above mentioned points are profound and alarming for the next vaccination campaign.  25 families’ children missed the last vaccination who are living in Khustak village of , reportedly the mentioned families are forbidden by foreigner Taliban who are in the named village.  Pamir areas community in Wakhan district do not have fully access to health services, however there are deployed tow mobile health teams but they cannot provide sufficient services for the Pamir community.

FOCUS;

 The Pamir commute will face to shortage of food for 1950 individuals, because on July 2016 only two month food ration distributed by Kirgizstan council.

WFP;

 Based on received reports a plants sickness which named Rust affected the harvest specially the wheat in border districts which is a concerning issue for the FSAC.

4 Updates on conflict IDP  ACTED; a joint assessment which was led by ACTED has visited 441 individuals (63 assessments and relief families) and verified 14 individuals (2 families) as vulnerable IDPs.
