12 Night Zimbabwe Budget Safari Hwange, Lake Kariba and Victoria Falls

12 NIGHT BUDGET SAFARI HWANGE, LAKE AND VICTORIA FALLS

DAY ONE On arrival into Victoria Falls International Airport you will be met and transferred by road to Ivory Lodge set just outside in for 3 nights on an all-inclusive basis.

Ivory Lodge is located in the forestry area on the outskirts of Hwange National Park offers and offers family-friendly safari experiences and is famous for its exhilarating up-close sightings of the Presidential Elephant Herd.

The lodge has a main thatched dining and lounge area overlooking a watering hole which is frequented by elephants, predators and plains game. There is a swimming pool in the grassy grounds around the lodge.

The guest rooms are elegantly built on stilted wooden platforms offering elevated views of the open floodplain and water hole in front of camp. Activities at the camp include game drives in Hwange National Park, guided game walks, cultural visits and pan sits. Ivory Lodge is heavily involved in community and wildlife conservation in the area.

DAY FOUR Today you will transfer by road and game drive to Bomani Tented camp for 3 nights on an all-inclusive basis. You will arrive in time for lunch and a siesta before your afternoon game drive.

Bomani Tented Camp is set in a remote and exclusive area within a 5000 acre private reserve within the Ngamo Forest Area with great game viewing all year round and just 15 minutes’ drive from a private gate into Hwange National Park.

The main lodge overlooks Bomani Pan and has an open dining room, bar area and lounge and is built on a spectacular viewing platform.

There are just 11 tents and one thatched family bungalow - the 5 Saddle bill Tents and Sable Suite (family unit) are raised 1 metre above the ground on wooden decks and overlook the Ngamo Plain and the 4 Spurwing Suites and the thatched bungalow are at ground level and overlook the lodge waterhole. Every tent is comfortably furnished and designed to keep out all creatures great and small and all the tents have a private en-suite bathroom, hot running water and electricity.

Activities include walks or drives inside this truly wild and remote region of Hwange National Park famous for its giants, the elephants. You can also go out on all day ‘pump runs’, enjoy night drives, spend some time in the photographic Look Up Hide and visit a local school and village. Bomani Tented camp is very heavily involved in community and wildlife conservation in the area.

DAY SEVEN Today you will transfer to the airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to Rhino Camp perched on the shoreline of Lake Kariba. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the camp for 3 nights on an all- inclusive basis.

Rhino Safari Camp is a small, traditional bushcamp nestled within dense jesse bushveld along the shoreline of Lake Kariba at the north-western end of the Matusadona National Park. It is owner operated with just 7 chalets and is well known for its friendly, personalised hosting and excellent guiding.

Seven comfortable, twin bedded open fronted en-suite bedroom chalets are set on raised on Tonga-Style stilted platforms are spaced along the shoreline - all with spectacular views over Lake Kariba.

The camp is unfenced and wildlife moves freely between the chalets along well used game trails. Activities include 4 x 4 game drives, bush walks, boat cruises and fishing.

DAY TEN Today you will transfer back to the airstrip in time for your lights aircraft flight back to Victoria Falls International Airport where you will be met by Bayete Lodge and transferred to the lodge for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Bayete Guest Lodge is a family run lodge which offers 30 rooms set in a lush tropical garden - central to the lodge is the large teardrop swimming pool, dining boma and the Ingwezi tavern. The lodge is in a quiet residential area and offers a tranquil and comfortable base to see Victoria Falls.

Delicious home-cooked lunch and dinner options are also available on request and should be pre-ordered on the day and the lodge can book all your Victoria Falls activities for you on arrival.

DAY THIRTEEN Today you will be transferred back to Victoria Falls International Airport in time for your international flight home.

Not really to go home yet – then you can extend your safari to visit and Matobo National Park or head over the border into or – please ask!
