Zaria is a notable centre of learning hosting strategic federal tertiary educational, professional, commercial and military institutions4. It is a home to the two direct parties5 involved in the December 12th – 14th 2015 clashes. Zaria is also the birthplace of the leader and the headquarters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and a host to many strategic Nigerian Military Units and Institutions, which have contributed to social cohesion, peaceful co-existence and the economic growth of Zaria.
