Thanks for sharing with community! Asian Pacific Island Pride: API Pride is led by and for LGBTQ people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent in Oregon. Brave Space, LLC: Brave Space creates community and facilitates access to expert and knowledgeable providers for transgender and genderqueer children, youth, adults and their families. Bridge 13 Community Education Project: A program of SMYRC, Bridge 13 provides LGBTQ equity trainings, workshops, and consultation for social support staff, health professionals, youth providers, businesses, educators and more. [email protected]. Cascade Aids Project: CAP is a non-profit offering full-spectrum services to test for HIV and assist those living with it. Full panel STD/STI and HIV testing offered as well as education, service navigation, housing, peer support, employment services, case management, and healthcare resources for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. www.cascadeaids.org eRa: Encouraging Respect for Aging: Serving LGBTQ seniors and elders ages 55+ through social space, activities, resources and support. We are undocumented, immigrant, indigenous, LGBTQ, gang-affected, HIV- and STI-positive and low-income youth, youth of color, youth with disabilities, youth who are transitioning from foster care, homelessness and incarceration, youth who have experienced war, domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse, teen parents and allies. Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA): The Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) serves self- identified American Indian youth and their families in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area. Two spirit and LGBTQ support groups and events conducted through their own high school. (503) 288-8177 Northwest Gender Alliance: The Northwest Gender Alliance is for transgender persons living in the greater Portland OR- Vancouver WA area. Oregon Queer Youth Summit: The Oregon Queer Youth Summit (OQYS) is a conference held by and for queer & trans identified youth and their allies. Outside in has an lgbtq affirming medical clinic, transgender ID project to assist folks changing names and documentation, housing assistance, Queer Zone group at Outside In, and community drop in center. PFLAG Portland/East County Chapter/Washington County Chapter: supporting LGBTQ people, their families and their friends through love, understanding, education and advocacy. www.pflagpdx.org Portland Therapy Center: Portland Therapy Center is an online directory listing hundreds of local mental health practitioners that allows you to search by insurance type, specialty, and zip code. Queer Rock Camp/Queer and Trans Creator Camp (QRC) (QTCC) Portland is an annual weekly summer camp that seeks to engage LGBTQ youth ages 12-23 in musical self-expression and amplifies the voices of LGBTQ youth. Teen Council (Planned Parenthood): Teen Council is a peer education and leadership program for high school students. Teens learn medically accurate, sexual health information and teach this information to their peers through classroom presentations, and serve as sexual health advocates by organizing events in their schools and communities to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy and LGBTQ issues. www.plannedparethood.org TransActive Gender Project: Provides a holistic range of services and expertise to empower transgender and gender expansive children, youth, and their families. Support groups for youth ages 4-18 years old, support groups for caregivers and families, advocacy, and counseling for transgender and gender nonconforming youth and their parents or caregivers. www.transactiveonline.org Triple Point: Serves youth 13-21 in Vancouver, WA. Trikone Northwest (based in Seattle): Trikone Northwest (TNW) is a vibrant, diverse group of individuals creating a social, supportive, educational, and political space for LGBTQ+ persons of South Asian descent, who trace their ethnicities to one of the following places: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tibet, along with their family, friends, and community. http://www.trikonenw.org/ Veterans Support Group: Provides safe and confidential space for veterans who identify as trans, intersex or gender non- conforming. Education The Family Acceptance Project: A research project that uses intervention, education and policy initiatives working to prevent mental health risks for LGBTQ children and youth in the context of their families, cultures and faith-based communities. www.familyproject.sfsu.edu.
