Dear Parents,

Can you believe that summer is already here? Summer is a great time to encourage family reading. Studies show that most students experience a loss of reading skills over the summer, but children who continue to read actually gain skills. To encourage the habit of reading over the break, the library has prepared a list of books that your child can read this summer. These lists will be found on our TCA website.

We feel that our students should read for the benefit of reading, but we want to add an extra incentive. Each student who reads the required number of books and turns in a completed, signed Summer Reading Form to the Library by September 9, 2019 will receive a special treat during an upcoming lunch. Also, each student will be entered into a drawing for one of three $10 Book Fair gift cards. These gift cards will be good for our school book fair in the fall

Summer reading is for fun and to encourage the love of reading – it is not required!!

Please contact me if you have any questions.
