There has also been a fair amount of moving around of titles. This new edition has tried to catch up with these changes. In the process, the number of titles listed and described has grown from 231 to 284. ORIGINS This directory was in part prompted by a recommendation that came from the Council of Europe in 1989. On the basis of a Europe-wide study, a Committee of Governmental Experts on the Cinema con- cluded that there are long-term benefits to be gained from providing a “satisfactory cinema experience” for young people. However, there were production, distribution and exhibition problems standing in the way, so the Committee went on to offer thirteen remedial pro- posals, one of which was that member states should “encourage the creation of a catalogue or databank ... of existing films for young people, which would enable them to have a better idea of what is available to them.” ET – one of the most popular children’s films of all time At the same time the BFI, working as it does with independent cine- mas throughout Britain, has long been aware of the potential useful- informed each film, and the intentions its makers brought to it. • “The Happytime Murders” by Helen Lutz
“The Happytime Murders” By Helen Lutz As we go along the journey of life, we find many things which just shouldn’t be but happen every day. The anonymous bullying of a school child – shouldn’t be, but is. Guns freely being made on 3-D printers – shouldn’t be, but are. Muppets spouting profanities and having raucous sex – shouldn’t be, but is in the new movie “The Happytime Murders.” Los Angeles – sometime in the future ... People co-exist with puppets, however, puppets are definitely second class citizens. Phil Phillips, a blue skinned, chimney smoking, alcoholic private investigator puppet (Bill Barretta) opens the movie with an old Jack Webb “Dragnet” style narration of another day in the city. Phillips, the only puppet to have once been a police officer, now works various puppet cases after being part of a fatal mishap. Approached by a seductive Sandra puppet hoping that Phil will take her mysterious, nymphomania case, leads Phil to a puppet porn shop (it would be nice to un-see the action between the cow and octopus). A robbery gone wrong while Phil is in the back looking at store files, leads to a deadly scene – stuffing everywhere – enter the police and Phil’s old partner Detective Connie Edwards (Melissa McCarthy). There’s obviously no love lost between the two. Phil knows the owner of the puppet sex shop from the good old days when he starred with Phil’s brother in a popular 80’s kids’ show “The Happytime Gang.” Life after the show has gone downhill for most of the cast.

It examines do-it-yourself (DIY) networks of indie crafts as a significant cultural economy and site of women’s creative labour, moving beyond existing research, which has historically focused on craft as primarily associated with women’s domestic activity, or as a salon refusé subordinated to the fine arts, or affiliations with turn of the 20th century industrialization.

  • Veljo Tormis — Works
VELJO TORMIS — WORKS Tormis himself prepared two work lists: the first, in 1989, chronologically, by genre, is published with his Personaalnimestik; the second, in 2000, in chronological order from 1956 to 2000, is unpublished. It also lists a few youthful and student works of 1949 to 1955 and was prepared for Priit Kuusk’s book. Tormis excluded some works from these lists “because they are just arrangements of someone else’s song. They are not creative work.” But he was inconsistent in this policy. Those arrangements which he excluded I have placed at the end of the present works list, along with student and youthful works. Shortly before going to press Tormis gave me a hand-written list of 54 works dating from 1948 to 1951, which are included in the final sections of this list. The title of the work is given in Estonian in this list, except when a current publication gives another language first. The choice of which language to give as the main entry is complicated because Tormis generally used the Estonian title in his list of 1989, but occasionally used another language in his list of 2000. Multi-language titles are cross-referenced. The title is in italics if it is a multi-movement work. Other language title is in (). English trans. of title is in [ ]. If there is a number in parentheses immediately following the translation of the title it represents the position of that work in a multi-movement composition where the title follows. Lack of such information means it is a single, stand-alone work.

But the youngest in the family, Kevin Macaulay Culkingot into a scuffle with his older brother Buzz Devin Ratray and was sent to his room, which is on the third floor of his house. Then, the next morning, while the rest of the family was in a rush to make it to the airport on time, they completely forgot about Kevin, who now has the house all to himself. Being home alone was fun for Kevin, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed, and making a mess. Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to Home Alone: The Official Colouring Book the burglars and to bring them Home Alone: The Official Colouring Book justice. Written by John Wiggins. Its success was phenomenal and it also made Macaulay Culkin a superstar. The plot is quite original and surreal: a child who is home alone and capable of making the bandits's lives miserable? Sure, it's an impossible story, but who cares? Far from being a perfect movie, it is however okay and fun to watch, entertaining and contains slapstick humor too although I don't like some of the language used.
