Conference Venue Palazzo Feltrinelli Via Castello 3 25084 Gargnano (Brescia), Italy Tel: +39 0365 72693 Fax: +39 0365 72832 Palazzo Feltrinelli is a beautiful historical villa by the Garda Lake, now owned by the University of Milan and used for workshops and meetings. The villa includes a main hall, two lecture halls, a restaurant, single/double rooms, as well as other facilities intended to make your stay pleasant. A photocopy machine and an overhead projector will be available at Palazzo Feltrinelli, while computers and internet access are not available at the villa. Accomodation and meals from lunch on Thursday to breakfast on Saturday will be provided to all participants at the conference venue. Directions Participants are advised to travel either to Milano or Brescia. Milano can be reached by plane from most countries or directly by train from European countries. People arriving by plane at Malpensa airport (http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/it/malpensa/), where most flights from abroad land, can take the Malpensa Shuttle (http://www.malpensashuttle.it) to the Milano Centrale railway station (50 minutes, € 5,50) or the Malpensa Express train (http://www.malpensaexpress.it) to Milano Cadorna (40 minutes, € 11) and then the underground to the Milano Centrale railway station (green line, 5 stops, 20 minutes, € 1). People arriving by plane at Orio al Serio airport (Bergamo, http://www.sacbo.it), where Ryanair flights land, can reach either the Milano Centrale railway station by bus (€ 6,90) or the Brescia railway station (€ 10) in about one hour. Please be advised that the bus leaves Orio al Serio airport for Brescia only at 8:30, 11:15,16:00,18:30; 22:00. People arriving by plane at Linate Airport http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/it/linate/), where other flights land, can reach the Milano Centrale railway station in about 20 minutes by bus (€ 3) or by taxi (€ 15/20). People arriving at Brescia Airport (http://www.aeroportobrescia.it/), where some Ryanair flights land, can reach the Brescia railway station by bus (€ 7,50) in about 30 minutes (http://www.cgabrescia.it). Please be advised that the bus leaves Brescia Airport for Brescia only at 15.00 (daily) and at 9.30 p.m. (Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday). The timetable of buses departing from all airports to the Milano Centrale railway station can be downloaded from: http://www.autostradale.it/interna.aspx?gr=2&sez=60&sot=2. Gargnano can be reached from the Milano Centrale railway station by train and bus, and from the Brescia railway station by bus. Take a train from Milano Centrale to Brescia. There is a regular bus service from the Brescia railway station to Gargnano (http://www.sia- autoservizi.it or http://www.trasporti.regione.lombardia.it/trl_index.htm). The bus station in Brescia is just outside the Brescia railway station, on the left; there is a SIA sign. Buses leave Brescia for Gargnano at 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:10, 11:35, 12:10, 12:40, 13:10, 13:40, 14:10, 14:40, 15:10, 15:40, 16:10, 16:40, 17:10, 17:40, 18:10, 18:40, 19:10, 19:45, 20:20, 21:10, 22:10, 22:30. The trip takes about one and a half hour. Palazzo Feltrinelli is 5 minutes away on foot from the bus station in Gargnano. Map .
