We could learn about kosher see examples of thriving organizations that provide slaughter. We could observe the seven-year sabbatical cycle economic opportunities for people who struggle to find and the tithing calendar. We could set up our own CSA and adequate employment – immigrants, formerly incarcerated talk about our environmental responsibility and our ethical individuals or gang members, people with disabilities or responsibility for hired labor. Benefits of meditation for seniors 1. Sharper mind, better memory: Studies by neuroscientists have confirmed a link between practicing meditation and improving one’s memory. Regular meditation increases blood flow to the brain, creating a stronger network of blood vessels in the cerebral cortex—the region that deals with learning, concentration and memory. Beneficial effects may be seen in both short-term and long-term memory. Regular meditation has also been shown to actually change the brain’s physical structure, increasing the areas responsible for personality, self-awareness, and planning while shrinking the region associated with negative emotion or anxiety shrinks. This leads to improved focus and cognitive function. 2. Slow down dementia’s progression: Meditation and breathing exercises can also slow down dementia-related conditions and help the person deal with the anxiety or depression that may accompany memory loss. At Lester Senior Living, all residents can take weekly balance and mindfulness classes to help them enhance their mental acuity and mobility, and prevent falls. 3. Enhance digestion: The deeper breathing associated with meditation improves circulation, thereby increasing oxygen levels in the blood which can aid in digestion.

AIPAC Aims to Strengthen U.S.-Israel Ties

On March 24, 18,000 delegates, including 4,000 high school and college students, were in Washington, DC, for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference — the largest gathering of America’s pro-Israel community. Over three days, attendees heard speeches from American and Israeli leaders, attended informative educational sessions, and heard moving stories of United States-Israel partnerships, Israeli heroism, and groundbreaking Israeli innovations that are changing our world. The event culminated with a trip to Capitol Hill to meet our congresswoman, Mikie Sherrill (D-Dist. 11) and to lobby for her support. The mission of AIPAC is to strengthen, protect, and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of both countries. AIPAC members in all 50 states are encouraged to be politically active and develop through foreign aid, government partnerships, joint anti- relationships with their members of Congress, regardless terrorism efforts, and the promotion of a negotiated two- of party affiliation, to help educate them about the state solution — a Jewish State of Israel and a demilitarized importance of U.S.-Israel ties.
