PROFILE – MUMTAZ HASAN KHAN

Mr. Mumtaz Hasan Khan Chairman & CEO of Hascol Petroleum Limited has over 54 years experience in the Oil Industry. He started his working life in Burmah Shell Oil Storage and Distribution Company in May 1963 and worked there till January 1976, where his last assignment was International Sales Manager. From February 1976 to July 1980 he served as Managing Director, Services Limited, which was the owning company of four Intercontinental Hotels in Pakistan. In August 1980 he moved to London to start his own oil trading business and established Hascombe Limited, which started trading in Crude Oil and Petroleum Products and was a major supplier of Petroleum products to Pakistan in the 1990’s. Hascombe bought crude and products from Middle Eastern sources and sold to major international trading companies like Shell and Elf. Under his leadership Hascol has been granted an oil marketing license in 2005 by the Government of Pakistan, and now Hascol has established a retail network of over 400 Petrol pumps and CNG stations from to Peshawar. Mr. Mumtaz Hasan Khan is also the Chairman of Hascol Terminals Limited. He is also a Trustee of the Foundation of Museum of Modern Art (FOMMA) and is on the Board of Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL).

Mr. Mumtaz Hasan Khan was a member of the Expert Energy Group which prepared the Country’s first Integrated Energy Plan in 2009.

PROFILE – FAROOQ RAHMATULLAH KHAN

Farooq Rahmatullah is a law graduate from University of Peshawar. He joined Burmah Shell Oil and Distribution Company in 1968 and worked in different functions such as Human resources, Supply, Chemicals, Marketing, Distribution and Retail. He was transferred to Shell International London in 1994, he was appointed as a Manager in the Business Strategy Division and was involved in various portfolios covering over 140 countries. On his return in 1998,he was appointed as Head of Operations of and was responsible for Middle East and South Asia (MESA). In 2001 he was appointed as Chairman of Shell Companies in Pakistan and Managing Director of Shell Pakistan Limited. He has been a founding member of PAPCO (Pak Arab Pipeline Company Limited).

He retired from Shell on June 30, 2006.He has also served as Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, Chairman of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Chairman of LEADS Pakistan. He has been Chairman of Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) since June, 2005. In addition to this, he is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Ltd, Founding member of Pakistan Human Development Fund, director on the Board of Society for Sustainable Development, member of Resource Development Committee of Aga Khan University Hospital, member of National Commission of Government Reforms and member of Pakistan Stone Development Company.

PROFILE – NAJMUS SAQUIB HAMEED

Mr. Najmus Saquib Hameed, Honorary Vice Chairman and CEO of Layton Rahmatullah Benevolent Trust (LRBT) has over 50 years experience in senior management positions in various multinational companies like Unilever, British American Tobacco Company (Plc) and Pakistan Tobacco where he retired as Chairman of the Company. Since his retirement he has been the CEO and Chairman of Layton Rahmatullah Benevolent Trust (LRBT) which is one of the largest charitable organizations in Pakistan providing free eye care to over 2.9 million patients per annum through a 19 hospitals and network of 56 clinics all over Pakistan. He has also served as Chairman of Cigarette Manufacturers Association of Pakistan and Chairman, Board of Governors, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi.

PROFILE – LIAQUAT ALI

Mr. Liaquat Ali is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He has over 23 years of experience in leasing and investment banking field and has completed numerous transactions including restructuring of companies, merger and acquisition.

Mr. Liaquat Ali is the Managing Partner of Liaquat Zaman, Chartered Accountants. He is also a member of the Benevolent Fund committee of ICAP. In addition to this, he is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hascol Petroleum Limited, Sindh Microfinance Bank Limited, and Marshal Gas (Private) Limited.

PROFILE – SALEEM BUTT

Mr. Saleem Butt, Executive Director of Hascol Petroleum Limited, has 25 years diverse career span in Finance, Corporate Affairs, Supply Chain, Sales, Management, Human Resources, Administration, IT and ERP Project implementation. His career commenced with a Chartered Accountant firm which is now a part of Price Water House Coopers in Pakistan; where he worked for six years. Then he served Shell for 14 years, where his illustrious career grew in various Shell group Companies in Pakistan and overseas. He was offered an opportunity and provided his services to Emaar Pakistan Group, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, UAE as Chief Operating Officer. He is currently employed with Hascol as an Executive Director. In addition he is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Hascol Terminals Limited and Hascol Lubricants (Pvt.) Limited. Academically, Mr. Saleem Butt is a Chartered Accountant. He was awarded an Associate membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan further obtaining a Fellow membership in 2004.

PROFILE – ABDUL AZIZ KHALID

Mr. Abdul Aziz Khalid has joined the Board of the Company as nominee Director of Vitol Dubai Limited. Mr. Aziz is working as Business Development Director in Vitol. He possesses a vast experience as being affiliated with oil industry especially in Middle east and has worked for renowned companies such as Libyan Emirates Oil refining company and AlGhurair. Mr. Aziz holds a CPA from Australia and completed his Bachelors from Griffith University.

PROFILE – PAUL HIMSWORTH

Paul Himsworth is Managing Director of Vitol Dubai having transferred from Vitol Ghana in 2015 where he was responsible for both Upstream and Downstream commercial activities. He has over 35 years in the oil business having worked in Finance, Retail, Commercial and Trading activities.

He joined Vitol in 2010 to manage their activities in Ghana and was based in Accra. Prior to joining Vitol he worked for Conoco Phillips for 26 years, initially in Conoco’s UK treasury and commercial division before moving to the crude oil trading group. After a number of years trading North Sea, Mediterranean and Dubai crude oil he moved to Houston in 1998 to manage US Gulf Coast and domestic crude trading and supply. He returned to London in 2002 to manage the crude oil trading desk and worked closely with Upstream to develop both the operational and marketing strategies for new crude discoveries. In 2010 he joined Vitol.

He is currently resident in Dubai and holds a Law degree.
