Committee to Implement U-M Affiliation The Council of Department Chairmen has appointed a committee on post­ graduate education to further implement the developing affiliation between Henry Ford Hospital and the University of Michigan Medical Center. Committee members are: Chairman, Dr. William S. Haubrich, Division of Gastroenterology; Dr. Paul D. Bartlett, Department of Biochemistry, EBFI; Dr. Melvin Block, Department of Surgery; Dr. John Rebuck, Department of Path­ ology; and Mr. Robert Burwell, Administration. The committee has been charged specifically with implementing an inter­ change of talent between HFH and the University of Michigan. Meeting regu­ larly with the Department of Postgraduate Education at Ann Arbor, Dr. Hau­ brich reports a cordial rapport with the U. of M. faculty which provides a favor­ able prospect for these and future undertakings in continuing medical educa­ tion at HFH. Duringthe 1970-71 academic year, two major interdepartmental postgraduate courses will be held at Henry Ford Hospital under the auspices of the Univer­ sity of Michigan College of Medicine. The first of these, entitled "The Sup­ portive Care of the Surgical Patient," will be offered in the fall. The second course in spring, 1971, will be "Infections: Cause and Control."

Dr. Duncan McColl was the father of Dr. Clarke McColl who was until 1966 chairman of the HFH Dept. of Medicine and Is now a consultant in the Department. The elder Dr. McColl was Wayne's oldest living alumnus until his death at the age of 99 in 1968.
