The driver of the motorized bicycle was dead in the accident. Japan Transport Safety Board <PROBABLE CAUSES> It is highly probable that the accident occurred as the train collided with the motorized bicycle because the motorized bicycle entered the Nakatsuchi level crossing, class 4 level crossing without automatic barrier machine nor road warning device, in the situation that the train was approaching. It could not be determined why the motorized bicycle entered the level crossing in the situation that the train was approaching, because the driver of the motorized bicycle was dead in the accident.

Seminal recordings included: David Bowie’s Young Americans; The Rolling Stones’ “Hot Stuff,” “Miss You,” “Dance Pt.1,” and “Emotional Rescue”; KISS’s “Strutter ’78,” and “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”; Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy“; and Elton John’s Thom Bell Sessions and Victim of Love. Though disco-rock was a great commercial success during the disco era, it has received limited acknowledgement in post-disco scholarship. This thesis addresses the lack of existing scholarship pertaining to disco-rock. It examines both disco and disco-rock as products of cultural shifts during the 1970s. Disco was linked to the emergence of underground dance clubs in New York City, while disco-rock resulted from the increased mainstream visibility of disco culture during the mid seventies, as well as rock musicians’ exposure to disco music. My thesis argues for the study of a genre (disco-rock) that has been dismissed as inauthentic and commercial, a trend common to popular music discourse, and one that is linked to previous debates regarding the social value of pop music.

The research method used in this research was Research and Development (R&D) by adapting ADDIE Model of development which covered several steps namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The result of this research was a learning media namely Kamishibai by modifying it with the story of Berau folklore East Kalimantan. Based on the result of media experts’ validation, it showed that the response was 100%, while the result of material and language quality was 93%. It can be summarized that the developed media can be categorized as “Decent” or suitable to be used as a learning media. Meanwhile, the result of students’ responses towards the media developed was 81.13%. it can be considered positive of the media of Kamishibai (Japanese-Card Story) was feasible and suitable to be applicated as the learning media in speaking. The research includes the analysis of newspaper coverage of the most significant sporting events in recent Japanese history, including the 2014 Koshien National High School Baseball Championships, the awarding of the People’s Honor Award, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, wrestler Hakuho’s record breaking victories in the sumo ring, and the bidding process for the 2020 Olympic Games. 2054 Japanese language articles were examined by thematic analysis in order to identify the extent to which established themes of “Japaneseness” were reproduced or renegotiated in the coverage. The research contributes to a broader understanding of national identity negotiation by illustrating the manner in which established symbolic boundaries are reproduced in service of the nation, particularly via mass media.     Japanese Journal of Religious Studies 1993 20/2-3 The Myth of the Goddess of the Undersea World and the Tale of Empress Jingu’s Subjugation of Silla Akima Toshio In prewar Japan, the mythical tale of Empress Jingii’s 神功皇后 conquest of the Korean kingdoms comprised an important part of elementary school history education, and was utilized to justify Japan5s coloniza­ tion of Korea. After the war the same story came to be interpreted by some Japanese historians—most prominently Egami Namio— as proof or the exact opposite, namely, as evidence of a conquest of Japan by a people of nomadic origin who came from Korea. This theory, known as the horse-rider theory, has found more than a few enthusiastic sup­ porters amone Korean historians and the Japanese reading public, as well as some Western scholars. We think most members are aware of the number of domestic problems that interfered with the continuity, but pressure being brought to bear, here is a renewed effort. One of the chief duties of any proper Renmei is to encourage the members, old or new, with sound information in order to 'feed' their interest Since we cover a reasonably wide range of entities within the Bugei traditions – Kendō, Iai-jutsu, Naginata, occasionally Sō-jutsu, and general or specific historical subjects – it is a pretty broad mandate and we try our best despite sidetracking by the Internet and deep-rooted popular misconceptions deriving there from. Accordingly, we propose to use some material that has been written over the past few months on subjects that we normally wouldn't have covered only broadly. The first of these will examine the subjects of Kakegoe and Kiai, both of great importance in all the classical weaponed disciplines. We have tended in the past to slightly neglect Iai-jutsu but the subject, in itself, tends to be 'inward looking' as we are, within this Renmei, mostly concerned with one of the oldest transmissions, the Hasegawa Eishin-ryū, and not the modern popular forms of the Settai Iai-dō. We may touch on the background reasons for this at some point but, nonetheless, parts of what we might discuss will apply whether the Iai is old or modern.
