2 Thessalonians 2:4 He (the Antichrist) will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

This final abomination will bring the desolation of the whole earth as God will now pour out His judgement and wrath. The next 3 ½ year period is called the GREAT tribulation.

Matthew 24:16-18 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.

Matthew 24:21-22 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

Revelation 5:1 Then I saw in the right hand of him (God) who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

In the beginning man was given the title deed to the whole earth Adam sinned and forfeited this right to Satan who became the “god” of the earth God sent Jesus to redeem the world back.

1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Revelation 5:2-6 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” 6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders…..

As a Lamb, Jesus offers salvation. (the lamb of God that takes away sin) As a Lion Jesus judges those who reject Him.

Revelation 5:9 (NLT) And they sang a new song with these words: “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation

Revelation 5:11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.,,,,,, billions of people including us worshipping God!

Revelation 6:1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"

Jesus breaks each seal, which sets in motion God’s judgment on the earth. The opening of the 1st seal – brings the introduction of the antichrist The opening of the other 6 seals brings disasters and God’s judgment to the whole world Warfare and bloodshed, widespread famine, plague, cosmic terrestrial disturbances, including earthquakes and stars falling to the earth and many believers are martyred for their faith

Revelation 6:8 (NLT) I looked up and saw a horse whose color was pale green. Its rider was named Death, and his companion was the Grave. These two were given authority over one-fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword and famine and disease and wild animals.

We see that 25% of the world’s population will die at one point in time

Revelation 6:16-17 They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"
