Certificate Program” (10 Modules – 390 Hours) Starting January 2018 FAST TRACK YOUR CAREER AS A HELPER! “Nechi Institute: Indigenous Addictions Services Certificate (IASC) program is designed to provide students with an excellent academic education in addictions and the credentials needed to advance post-secondary Centre of Indigenous education studies. Learning is committed to POST SECONDARY CAREER OPTIONS 1. – 30 Credits toward Bachelor of Professional Arts (Human Services) transformational 2. – 18 Credits towards a Social Work Diploma Program education through 3. Grant MacEwan University – 6 Credits towards Social Work Diploma Program igniting the spirit.” 4. Nicola Valley Institute of Technology – 10 Credits towards study in Chemical Addictions Worker Program (Human Services) 5. - IASC/IASD – 66 Credits towards Post-Diploma Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Addictions Counselling (**Student must complete course work at Nechi)

Students attend courses which are 5 days in length for a total of ten weeks, 39 hours per week, Our programs and Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. resources are Course Pre-Requisites Include: developed with an  High School Diploma with a Grade of 50% in English 30-1 or 65% in English 30-2 or Equivalent Indigenous world  Mature Admission available for those over 21 years of age who pass an English Equivalency view. Nechi Institute Exam  Students who have completed the IAC (CAT/ACT) programs will receive advanced standing is one of the few into the first year IASC. Indigenous organizations in the Year 1: Courses – 390 Hours of Study world operated  1001 – Communications and Ethics 1 primarily for  1002 – Colonization, Decolonization, and Healing Indigenous by  1003 – Human Development 1  1004 – Health Inclusion: Across the Life Span Indigenous people.  1005 – Physiology and Pharmacology of Drugs and Alcohol This Indigenous  1006 – Referral and Assessment experience is  1007 – Supportive Counselling Interventions fundamental to the  1008 – Treatment Planning success of our  1009 – Case Management and Record Keeping programs.  1010 – Harm Reduction and Aftercare
