Congregatione pro Cultu Divino die 24 iunii 1970 evulgatam, sodales familiarum religiosarum cum Ecclesia locali iunguntur in celebrandis: a) sollemnitate Patroni principalis oppidi vel civitatis; b) festo Patroni principalis dioecesis, regionis aut pro- vinciae, nationis vel amplioris territorii; c) festo anniversarii Dedicationis ecclesiae cathedralis. Praeterea in omnibus ecclesiis et oratoriis celebran- dae sunt: a) sollemnitas anniversarii Dedicationis (si templum consecratum sit); b) sollemnitas Tituli; c) memoria Sancti vel Beati (in Martyrologio vel eius Appendice inscripti) cuius corpus in ecclesia vel oratorio asservatur. DE CALENDARIO 2016 - 2017 V Curent igitur illi, ad quos spectat liturgiam conven- tualem ordinare, ut celebratio horum festorum huic Ordini inseratur. Omnes autem meminerint in Missae celebratione: a) in sollemnitatibus semper Gloria et Credo dicenda esse; b) in festis Gloria tantum dicendum esse; c) in memoriis Gloria et Credo non esse dicenda. Attamen Gloria et Credo dici possunt si Missa cum peculiari sol- lemnitate celebretur. DE ANNO LITURGICO ET DE CALENDARIO Occurrentia celebrationum liturgicarum Si eodem die plures celebrationes occurrunt, fit de ea quae in tabula dierum liturgicorum, supra relata, super- iorem obtinet locum (AC, 60). Si quodam anno sollemnitas impediatur, ad proxi- miorem diem transferatur qui liber sit a diebus sub nn. 1-8 in tabula praecedentiae recensitis (AC, 60). Attamen si sollemnitas a dominica Adventus vel Quadragesimae vel Paschae impediatur, sabbato praece- denti anticipatur (AC, 5). Si sabbato impediatur, transfe- ratur ad proximiorem diem liberum, secundum normam generalem. Si vero agatur de occurrentia in dominica in Palmis aut in dominica Risurrectionis, transfertur ad pri- mum diem liberum, post dominicam in octava Paschae (Cong. pro Cultu Divino, 22 apr. 1990, in Notitiae 26 [1990] 160). Reliquae celebrationes impeditae eo anno omittun- tur (AC, 60). Si vero eodem die celebrandae sint Vesperae Officii occurrentis et I Vesperae diei sequentis, praevalent Vesperae celebrationis quae in tabula dierum liturgico- rum superiorem obtinet locum; in casu autem paritatis, Vesperae diei currentis (AC, 61). «Celebratio externa» Ad bonum pastorale fidelium procurandum, in dominicis «per annum», licet eas celebrationes agere, quae infra hebdomadam occurrunt, quaeque ipsorum X DE CELEBRATIONE EUCHARISTICA fidelium pietati sint acceptae, dummodo hae in tabula praecedentiae ipsi dominicae praeponantur. On October 15, 1849, he was appointed as parish priest of the same parish which became more poor and needy in consequence of the 1848/9 war. After few months, on April 30, 1850, he started a Charity School for children more abandoned by the family entrusted with the help of two zealous catechists, the first sprout of the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Joseph Sisters. While continuing the pastoral care of his parish with love, follows the expansion of the foundation of the religious family opened in 1857 at Venice second house near San Sebastian, where they accept poor children helped by the public assistance.

Tanto la Chiesa quanto la città di Venezia sono grate al Signore per aver ospitato questa solenne liturgia della beatificazione che, di nuovo, ci ha fatto sentire la bellezza d’esser Chiesa. Don Luigi - il cui vero nome era Ludovico Gasparo Maria Paolo - era un veneziano doc, nacque a Venezia il 7 giugno 1817; il papà Angelo era gondoliere, la mamma Elena proveniva da una famiglia di barcaioli specializzati nel trasporto delle merci… Oggi, per tutti noi, per la Chiesa che è in Venezia e per le Figlie di San Giuseppe è un momento di grande gioia perché siamo toccati da vicino dalla santità che, oggi, in questa Piazza, non risuona come parola astratta e lontana ma come deve essere in realtà, ossia storia vissuta, ed assume un volto concreto e dei lineamenti personali: quelli di Luigi Caburlotto, figlio del gondoliere Angelo. Il fatto, poi, che un parroco veneziano sia stato dichiarato beato interpella innanzitutto il presbiterio di Venezia (vescovo e presbiteri) sul valore della santità, intesa come vera ed irrinunciabile forza evangelizzatrice. Guardando a don Luigi Caburlotto, cogliamo subito il profondo legame che ebbe con tutta la città e non solo con la Chiesa veneziana.

A sera sono nostri ospiti il Padre Vito Misuraca, sua sorella e suo cognato, perché domani il Padre Misuraca parte per il Rwanda. 4 – P.Bove, P.Guarino e altri confratelli della Curia partecipano, nella cittadina di Lunghezza (RM), alle esequie del signor Ottavio, fratello del nostro colla- boratore Nilo Nutarelli. 6 – A sera, durante la celebrazione dei vespri, dopo la processione con Gesù Bambino, si compie la tradizionale cerimonia della distribuzione delle Poliz- zine. 12 – A sera parte per il Rwanda il P.Carmelo Capizzi in visita alle nostre comu- nità e alla casa del Padre Vito Misuraca. P.Carmelo rientrerà il prossimo 20 gennaio. 14 – Parte il P.Vito Lipari per l’INDIA (starà solamente 3 mesi). A sera abbiamo festeggiato i 60 anni di P.Agostino Zamperini, a Roma per un intervento chirurgico oculistico. 17 – P.Angelo Sardone va a Conversano (BA) per l’annuale festa organizzata da- gli ex allievi di Trani per la raccolta offerte per la missione rogazionista Pa- raguay 2010.

I greet with affection the Cardinals, Bishops, priests, as well as the spiritual daughters of the four Saints. Through their intercession, may the Lord grant a new missionary impulse to their respective countries. Inspired by their example of mercy, charity, and reconciliation, may the Christians of these lands look to the future with hope, continuing in the journey of solidarity and fraternal coexistence. I extend my greetings to the families, parish groups, associations, and schools present, especially to confirmands from the Archdiocese of Genoa. I address a special thought to the faithful of the Czech Republic, gathered at the shrine of Svatý Kopeček, near Olomouc, who today are remembering the 20th anniversary of St John Paul II’s visit. Yesterday in Venice was the beatification of Fr Luigi Caburlotto, pastor, educator, and founder of the Daughters of St Joseph. Let us give thanks to God for this exemplary pastor, who led an intense spiritual and apostolic life, totally dedicated to the good of souls. I wish to invite all of you to pray for the beloved people of Burundi who are living through a delicate moment: May the Lord help all people to flee the violence and to act responsibly for the good of the nation. With filial love let us turn now to the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, Queen of the Saints, and model for all Christians.

  • The Servite Third Order Has a New Blessed: Don Luigi Caburlotto
    The Servite Third Order has a new Blessed: Don Luigi Caburlotto On next 16 May there is going to be a beatification in St Mark’s Square, Venice for a Venetian priest Father Luigi Caburlotto (1817-1897). This has direct and special interest for the Secular Order of the Servants of Mary. Yes, direct interest, because the new Blessed was enrolled and professed in the Third Order in Venice. Indeed, he was the founding member of the male branch of the Venice fraternaity. And in the register of that men’s fraternity, which was founded in 1885, he is enrolled as Number One. He was also the Corrector – meaning the spiritual assistant – right up to a year before his death, which happened on 9 July 1897. He took the fraternity name of Brother Joseph of Saint Luigi Gonzaga, and this was the name he used to sign all the minutes which were kept meticulously at every meeting, to be read, approved and signed by him each time. Perhaps this discovery of a link between the new Blessed and the Third Order of the Servants of Mary comes as a surprise for many people. It certainly did for me, and I am a friar who has lived for over 20 years in Venice: I had heard speak of this priest often enough, but never with any reference to our Order. Only now, with the fervour and preparation for his beatification, have I been able to find out that there was this deep and significant link with the Order. Indeed, we can rightly say that Blessed Luigi Caburlotto is another Blessed Ferdinando Maria Baccilieri.
