    Un Comune Percorso Educativo (1859-2010) E G

    nell’ambito di Pubblicati i due volumi sui Salesiani e sulle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice in occasione dei 150 anni dell’unità d’Italia1, è parso conveniente andare oltre l’accostamento materiale dei due studi quantitativi, in qualche modo paralleli, per rendere disponibili F. Motto F. alcuni dati direttamente confrontabili in vista di un percorso di ricostruzione “a due di a cura voci”, maschile e femminile. La comparazione di consistenti dati archivistici inediti, rilevati sul piano sincronico e diacronico, ha portato infatti alla luce sia le profonde e G. Loparco convergenze, sia alcune connotazioni peculiari dell’impegno educativo dei Salesiani tra i ragazzi e delle Figlie di Maria Ausiliatrice tra le ragazze, per lo più svolto in ambienti distinti e separati fi no ad alcuni decenni fa. Si tratta di storie autonome, ma sempre intrinsecamente correlate nello spirito del compito educativo e perciò entrambe meglio comprensibili anche alla luce dell’altera pars, di fatto socialmente TALIA complementare. L’interessante raffronto del fenomeno salesiano (SDB-FMA), forse I uno dei primi nel suo genere, è opera della giovane studiosa Alessandra Mastrodonato. IN Vi si aggiunge un secondo contributo riferito ad una triplice prospettiva di lettura dei 150 anni di azione salesiana in Italia: quella dello storico Andrea Riccardi, del sociologo Giuseppe De Rita, del pedagogista Giorgio Chiosso, che si pongono in contiguità con le letture, già edite in “Ricerche Storiche Salesiane” (m. 56, 2010) del costituzionalista Giovanni Maria Flick, dello storico della scuola Roberto Sani, della studiosa del mondo femminile Lucetta Scaraffi a. USILIATRICE Il terzo contributo offre una rassegna bibliografi ca ragionata di pubblicazioni utili, A e forse anche indispensabili, per lo studioso del fenomeno salesiano in Italia, tanto maschile quanto femminile.

    NOTA BIOGRÁFICA de Mons. Giuseppe Cognata (1885-1972) Años de niñez y juventud José Cognata nació en Agrigento el 14 de octubre de 1885. Fueron sus padres Vitale y Rosa. Desde niño demostró una gran riqueza de dotes y talentos humanos. A los doce años entró en el colegio salesiano “San Basilio” de Randazzo (Catania), la primera obra de Don Bosco en Sicilia, dispuesto a acoger la llamada a la vida religiosa y apostólica entre los Salesianos; una vocación fuertemente discutida por su padre y su abuelo, con sus pruebas y sus abundantes y sufridas luchas, coronada finalmente por un feliz éxito. Salesiano: sacerdote – educador – apóstol El 5 de mayo de 1908 el clérigo José Cognata emitía su profesión perpetua en San Gregorio de Catania, en las manos del entonces Rector Mayor don Miguel Rua, hoy beato, y el año después, el 29 de agosto de 1909, recibía en Acireale la ordenación sacerdotal. Había conseguido brillantemente la licenciatura tanto en Letras como en Filosofía. Desde entonces se hacía presente entre los jóvenes no sólo como profesor y asistente sino como sacerdote lleno de celo, desarrollando su misión en Bronte (Sicilia), en Este (Veneto), en Macerata (Le Marche). Director Durante la primera guerra mundial, Don Cognata sirvió como soldado en Palermo, Trapani y Padua. En Trapani puso las bases de la Obra salesiana que, unos años después, sería llamado a dirigir. Fue director de obras, pero, sobre todo, director de almas. Estando en Trapani fue requerido para dirigir el colegio de Randazzo (Catannia), y más tarde el de Gualdo Tadino, en Umbria, y finalmente fue director de la casa del “Sacro Cuore” de Roma.

Luigi Caburlotto founder of the Sisters “Daughters of St. Joseph” of Venice Outline biographies of Fr. Luigi Caburlotto Luigi Caburlotto was born in Venice on June 7, 1817 from a gondolier family. He grew in the parish of San Pantaleone, and he prepare himself to become priest frequented to the Charity Schools of the Cavanis Fathers and the Seminary. On September 24, 1842, he was ordained priest by patriarch Jacopo Monico, and after one year, he was assigned to cooperate at the parish of San Giacomo dall’Orio. After the past six years of intense work, he studied the social and moral situation of the population and recognizing in the abandoned infant and adolescent the sector of more urgent pastoral intervention. On October 15, 1849, he was appointed as parish priest of the same parish which became more poor and needy in consequence of the 1848/9 war. After few months, on April 30, 1850, he started a Charity School for children more abandoned by the family entrusted with the help of two zealous catechists, the first sprout of the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Joseph Sisters. While continuing the pastoral care of his parish with love, follows the expansion of the foundation of the religious family opened in 1857 at Venice second house near San Sebastian, where they accept poor children helped by the public assistance.
