1. Self Visualiza*on

As you recite HUNG you are immediately transformed into Medicine Buddha, with one face, two arms and a shining blue body, sitting crossed- legged, right hand holding an Arura plant, left hand a buddha bowl full of nectar of immortality. Medicine Buddha is in monks robes [the nirmanakaya form] or with ornaments [sambhogakaya]. Imagine that your body, speech and mind are blessed by Medicine Buddha.

2. Visualiza*on of the Protec*on Mandala

In your heart chakra there is a blue HUNG. ! From it, through the Central Channel and out of the anus comes blue light, which becomes the syllable RAM. རྃ 1 That RAM melts into light, which becomes an སངས་'ས་(ས་དང་*གས་,་མ(ག་.མས་ལ།། immense mandala of the sun. Again light comes from Sang gye chö dang tsok kyi chok nam la the HUNG in the heart, goes through the Central Buddha, and , Channel and comes out through your urethra. On the sun mandala it melts and becomes a double vajra. This double vajra curves upward in each of the 1ང་2བ་བར་4་བདག་5་6བས་7་མ8།། four directions [with the four tips meeting above Jang chup bar du dak ni kyap su chi you] to form a [sphere-like] vajra tent around you. Un*l enlightenment I take in you; The outer layer of the vajra is melted by the heat of the sun mandala and seals the inside completely [like བདག་9ས་:ན་<གས་བ=ིས་པ@་བ<ད་ནམས་,ས།། a metal sphere]. The compassionate light from all the enlightened ones radiates and reaches you. Like a reflection in a clear mirror, your body is a perfect manifestation of Buddha without nature [appearance in an empty state]. 6 7 5. Invi*ng Buddhas and Receiving Blessings

Visualize all the buddhas with their clothing and ornaments very clearly. Invite the wisdom and empowering buddhas and deities as well [each time visualizing that they come from the ten directions]. Then make your offerings and receive blessings from them. Clearly meditate on these buddhas as much as possible. At the end you dissolve into the buddhas which then dissolve into space.

If thought arises, let it arise. Whatever manifests know its nature. If thought stays, let it stay. Don’t let the mind sink or get excited. Don’t fixate on anything, don’t grasp onto anything in the nature of mind. Just leave it as it is, like water flowing, a rock or a stone on the ground, don’t grasp onto anything.
