LETTER TO STAKEHOLDERS In various areas of the world, after the long years of crisis, the macroeconomic data revealed a strengthening recovery and the election season involving many countries where Sofi del operates (including the United States, France, Great Britain and THE FUTURE IS NOW Germany) came to an end. Within this general context Sofi del continued to pursue its development policy with, among other things, the activation of new and more modern converting lines, the introduction of new paper mill capacity and the launch of a new growth phase for the Regina brand. Specifi cally, the year saw a tripling of paper mill production capacity at the Ciechanów plant, in Poland, the start-up of new converting lines at Buñuel, in Spain (where new paper mill production capacity will be activated by the last quarter of 2018, tripling current production) and the assembly of converting plant and paper mill machinery at Circleville, in Ohio, in what will be the biggest and most modern plant in the Group. In parallel, the Regina brand has been renewed and strengthened with a new, more coherent pan-European positioning and ...with a clear approach, aware that it stands the launch, for the fi rst time, of a common advertising campaign, planned in several countries (United Kingdom, Eire, Italy and Poland), while in the United States Sofi del has established important contacts to ensure the growth of its market presence on the threshold of a new era, rich in chal- in the coming months. Die Texte wurden von drei Autoren erstellt.1 2.1 Die Frühe Neuzeit in Italien 2.1.1 Naturräumliche Bedingungen Italien ist mit Ausnahme der Po-Ebene und Teilen Apuliens eine bergige bis hochgebirgi- ge Halbinsel. So prägen sich die Regionen kulturell unterschiedlich aus. Die Topographie bringt zudem reiche Natursteinvorkommen mit sich, die sich von Region zu Region un- terscheiden und die regionale Architektur maßgeblich beeinflussen. Die Verwendung von Marmor ist für ganz Italien charakteristisch. In der Po-Ebene, wo es keinen Naturstein gibt, entwickelte sich dagegen eine auf Ziegelstein beruhende Baukultur. Holz ist in ganz Italien vorhanden. Eine für Italien typische Ansiedlungsform sind Bergdörfer und Bergstädte, die auf die geographischen Vorgaben reagieren und sich gleichzeitig gut verteidigen lassen.     DOSSIER MUSEO E PARCO ARCHEOLOGICO DELLE NAVI ANTICHE DI PISA 1. INQUADRAMENTO TERRITORIALE Superficie e confini Pisa si trova ad una decina di chilometri dal mare sulle rive del fiume Arno, ad un’altezza di 4 metri s.l.m.; la posizione geografica particolarmente favorevole fa sì che la città sia un nodo di comunicazione (viaria, ferroviaria e aeroportuale) fondamentale a livello regionale e nazionale. L’estensione territoriale del Comune di Pisa è 187,1 Kmq con una densità di popolazione pari a 488,89 abitanti per Kmq (di cui il 52,64% donne e 47,36% uomini); per quanto riguarda il centro storico la sua estensione è pari a 8 Kmq con una densità di popolazione di 1625,35 abitanti per Kmq (di cui il 53,35% donne e il 46,64% uomini). Il Cantiere delle Navi Antiche di Pisa è ubicato poco all'esterno delle mura della città medievale, in direzione del mare. Qui nel 1998, in occasione della costruzione di un centro direzionale delle Ferrovie dello Stato, in seguito al rinvenimento di manufatti lignei, si decise di procedere, nel minor tempo possibile, all'esplorazione del sito e fu quindi allestito un cantiere di carattere estensivo, corrispondente all'area interessata. Il ritmo incalzante dei rinvenimenti (con 16 relitti, interi o parzialmente conservati, individuati in pochi mesi) portò nell'estate nel 1999 alla decisione di destinare il sito alla ricerca. Dal dicembre dello stesso anno, stipulato l'accordo che passava alla Soprintendenza ai Beni Archeologici per la Toscana la piena responsabilità dell'area, si è proceduto con una nuova strategia di intervento che, secondo i principi della stratigrafia archeologica, permettesse il recupero e il trasferimento dei relitti individuati in luoghi adatti alla conservazione e al restauro.

    QUADRO CONOSCITIVO Ambito n°13 AREA PISANA PROVINCE : Pisa TERRITORI APPARTENENTI AI COMUNI : Bientina, Buti, Calci, Calcinaia, Cascina, Pisa, Ponsacco, Pontedera, San Giuliano. Terme, Vecchiano, Vicopisano OROGRAFIA - IDROGRAFIA La morfologia del territorio incluso in questo ambito si caratterizza per la presenza di una consistente area di pianura delimitata di rilievi collinari delle Cerbaie e delle colline livornesi rispettivamente ad est e a sud, mentre a nord fa da cornice il sistema dei monti pisani e d’Oltreserchio. Il litorale sabbioso con ambienti dunali ed aree umide definisce il limite occidentale di questo ambito. L’evoluzione geo-morfologica della pianura pisana è legata da un lato alla formazione di bacini tettonici di sedimentazione compresi tra i rilievi (monti pisani, monti livornesi e di Cascina Terme), dagli apporti di materiali alluvionali dell’Arno e del Serchio, nonché dalle variazioni del livello del mare che hanno coperto i sedimenti fluviali recenti con sedimenti marini determinando caratteri paesaggistici differenziati. La pianura di Pisa è caratterizzata da una complessità stratigrafica derivante dall’alternanza di terreni con diversa granulometrica che configura un sistema acquifero multi strato. Queste caratteristiche ricorrenti nelle pianure costiere sono l’esito di due fenomeni contrapposti ovvero la subsidenza, con tendenza all’ingressione marina, e l’alluvionamento per tracimazione di materiale fluviale. Laddove le esondazione dei corsi d’acqua hanno trasportato minor quantità di sedimenti o depositato materiali più fini, si sono configurate aree depresse, per i minor livelli altimetrici, talvolta soggette ad impaludamento (aree a nord del Serchio, aree ai piedi dei monti pisani, area di Coltano-Stagno). La fascia di transizione tra la pianura pisana ed il mare è costituita da ambienti costieri caratterizzati dalla presenza di lidi e dune, talvolta associati a lagune retrostanti, le cui formazioni derivano dall’accumulo di sedimenti trasportati da correnti litoranee e dall’effetto dell’azione dei venti.

Esso consta di più di un migliaio di piante e da 7 cabrei che, condizionati entro 721 inserti, sono in gran parte relative al territorio toscano tra la metà del XVIII e la metà del XIX secolo, ma riguardano anche altre località della penisola italiana e dell’Europa. La rilevazione dei dati concernenti ogni singola carta, intrapresa da Augusto Antoniella nelle missioni degli anni 1978 e 1981, fu completata ed ampliata da Paola Benigni e da Giuseppe Pansini nelle missioni del 1983 e degli anni 1986 e 1987; mentre nel corso della missione del 1990 gli stessi scelsero il materiale cartografico con cui l’anno seguente venne allestita presso l’Archivio di Stato di Firenze la mostra: “La Toscana dei Lorena nelle carte dell’Archivio di Stato di Praga”.
