At the end of May, artists from Georgia will perform at the National Forum of Music. The Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra led by Vakhtang Kakhidze, a composer and conductor associated with the orchestra for over 25 years. Anna Tchania will be the soloist, a young and very talented violin virtuoso. The programme features, among others, Igor Stravinsky’s Fire Bird and Violin Concerto No. 2 in D minor by Henryk Wieniawski. A work by Vakhtang Kakhidze – the Amazons ballet suite, Sveda – film lyrical theme – will crown the evening. With The Amazons the artist debuted as a conductor at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tbilisi.
