SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Develops and implements the organization's social media strategy, including marketing plans that leverage social media outlets.  Directs external resources that may be necessary/utilized to accomplish Bigelow’s digital/social plans.  Is the internal leadership on all digital/social media issues and opportunities.  Responsible for development and maintenance of online content that attracts attention, generates interest, and is easily shared with social networks.  Establishes relationships with bloggers and other members of the . May work with technical personnel in the development of tools that allow for easy integration with a .  Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. Directs all digital/social media tasks and manages the digital/social media team.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  Develop, photograph, write, curate and schedule up to 75% of content across Bigelow Tea’s social media platforms  Provides direction on an as-needed basis with the execution of consumer contests and sweepstakes

Requirements:  3-5 years of social media experience  A portfolio that demonstrates a unique eye for engaging, social content and experience creating it for a brand  Experience managing a social media community on a daily basis  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, PR or Communications  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Strength in writing – including copywriting, editing and proofreading  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and social platforms (, , Google+, YouTube, Tout, , , Blogs, wordpress, etc.).  Ability to work independently as well as in groups and bring projects to fruition

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises three exempt employees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, PR or Communications with 3-5 years of social media experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
