1 General information about the Upper Engadin

1.1 Location

 57 km-long 1,800 metres above sea level  Situated in the south of Canton and follows the River from to the Engadine lake plateau as far as Maloja  Source of the River Inn – alongside the mightiest glacier in the Eastern , the Morteratsch, and the only mountain above 4,000 metres in the , the 4,049 metre high .  Its glaciers make this an important source of water for Eastern Europe  Borders the regions of Engadin , Val , Bergell  Home to 11 district municipalities

15 The Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organisation
