THEME TOTAL £255,000 £358,750 £613,750 CR1 Carbon Reduction and Air Quality Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vans This project will test prototype range extended vehicles including vans £53,000 £53,000 and large trucks to prove their viability and their role in delivering EU and national energy and climate change targets. Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) are important to green transport solutions as they have a larger range than electric battery vehicles. The proposed budget allows for the purchase of 2 vehicles, with European and ACC funding allowing 10 prototype vans to be purchased, increasing the demand for the initial refuelling infrastructure within Aberdeen City. The vans will be trialled by Aberdeen City Council, Co-Wheels, NHS Grampian and selected private sector companies with large fleets of vans to widen the participation and hydrogen awareness opportunities for both the private and public sector.
