PROJECT DESCRIPTION ALTERNATIVES Construct a freeway interchange along Dorr Street at I-475, widen ■ Alternative 1 – Roundabout Interchange existing Dorr Street from two to five lanes between McCord Road ■ Alternative 2 – Tight Diamond Interchange and Holland-Sylvania Road, and provide sidewalk along both sides of Dorr Street. ESTIMATED SCHEDULE
■ Select Preferred Alternative – April 2015 PROJECT PURPOSE ■ Design – 2015-2016 To address future congestion at adjacent interchanges along I-475 ■ R/W Acquisition & Utility Relocation – TBD and to improve access to and from I-475 for the University of Construction – TBD Toledo and other existing and new development within the City of ■ Toledo and Springfield Township. NEXT STEPS PROJECT NEEDS ■ Select Preferred Alternative ■ Capacity – Adjacent interchanges at I-475/Central Avenue and ■ Begin Detailed Design and determine the exact I-475/Airport Highway may face capacity concerns in order to R/W needs handle the future traffic demands ■ Return to TRAC to request R/W and ■ Safety – Congestion at adjacent interchanges along I-475 have Construction Funding contributed to a high number of crashes
