BREAKFAST from 8.30 until 10.00 a.m. LUNCHEON at 1 p.m. AFTERNOON TEA at 4.30 p.m. DINNER at 7 p.m.

Eastbound steamers gain one day when passing the 180th Meridian, which is called '* Antipodes Day." Westbound steamers drop one day when passing the 180th Meridian. Mail and Telegrams.—On arrival at Victoria a representative of the 's Telegraphs meets the steamer and will accept telegrams and cables for all parts of the world. Please call at Information Bureau for mail anditelegrams, also be sure to enquire before leaving ship at Vancouver. Mail and tele­ grams may be addressed in care of the Company's offices at Hong­ kong, Manila, Shanghai, Nagasaki, Kobe, Yokohama, Victoria and Vancouver. Passengers should leave their addresses so that Mail received after their departure can be forwarded. Baggage on Steamer.—Only hand-bags and trunks which will fit underneath the berths are allowed in the state-rooms. All large or heavy baggage containing articles required during the voyage must be placed in the baggage-room, to which access may be obtained daily. Baggage Arrangements.—Canadian and United States Cus* toms Officers, also Baggage Checkers, accompany the steamers from Victoria to Vancouver. This enables passengers to have baggage inspected and checked to destination, avoiding delay and inconvenience at Vancouver. Baggage in use in the state-rooms and required at the hotel or on the should be left in state-room for Canadian Customs inspection. The Canadian Pacific Ocean Services Limited

Baggage in state-room which requires to be checked should be •sent on deck for Customs examination and checking to destination. Baggage in ship's baggage room will be checked and inspected there. Baggage for United States points should be checked before Customs examination can be made. Passengers stopping over in Vancouver can leave baggage in bonded baggage room, in the Canadian Pacific Railway Station, free of charge. Hand Baggage—If requested, room steward will carry hand baggage ashore, where porters will transfer it to train. Baggage cannot be inspected or checked until railway tickets have been procured. Passenger List.—Passengers wishing to forward a copy of this list to friends may obtain it on application at the Purser's office, together with envelope for mailing. Deck Chairs are furnished free of charge. Wireless.—Rates at which messages can be transmitted may be obtained from the Purser. Passengers wishing to com­ municate with any of the Canadian Pacific offices during the voyage may, by applying to the Purser, take advantage of the •Company's code. The Surgeon is authorized to make customary charges, sub­ ject to the approval of the Commander, for treating any passen­ gers at their request for any illness not originating on board the ship. In the case of sickness contracted on board no charge will be made, and medicine will be provided free. Valuables.—The Company will not be responsible for money, jewellery and other valuables of passengers. Passengers are advised not to keep such articles in their state-rooms, but are recommended to hand them, sealed and marked with the owner's name, to the Purser for deposit in the safe, but as no charge is made the Company can accept no responsibility for loss or •damage, however arising. ' ' 'U' • m :-V •<':,:ii\* Train Service.—Through cars are operated to Montreal, St. Paul, and , where direct connection can be made to points East and South. _•,... - Immigration—Railway Tickets.—Canadian and United States Immigration: Officers, also Railway Ticket, Agents, accompany steamers from Victoria to Vancouver for the purpose of im­ migration inspection, issuing tickets and exchanging orders to all points, making sleeping car, Trans- and Trans-Pacific reservations. They will be located in the Dining Saloon. Table I—Canadian Immigration.—All passengers are re­ quired to pass the Canadian Immigration Officer at Table I. Table 2—United States Immigration.—All passengers des­ tined to or passing through the United States will also be required to pass the United States Immigration Officer at Table 2. Table 3—Ticket Information and Routing Authority.—After passing immigration inspection, passengers who are proceeding beyond Vancouver will then apply for ticket information and routing authority at Table 3. Table 4—Sleeping Car Reservations will be made at Table 4. Table 5—Railway Tickets will be issued at Table 5. (Subject to Change) The Canadian Pacific Ocean Services, Limited, operates a fleet on the Atlantic between Canada and Great Britain. The steam­ ship ticket agents who board the steamer at Victoria are equipped to arrange reservations on Atlantic steamers via either Canadian or U.S. ports, and European passengers may, if desired, complete ^arrangements for accommodation on Atlantic steamships before disembarking at Vancouver.

NEW TRANS-CONTINENTAL EXPRESS OF THE CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY

In order to handle the increasingly large volume ot trans­ continental , and to give business travellers a faster train between East and West, the Canadian Pacific Railway announces a new daily limited express train, the Trans-Canada Limited. This train will reduce the journey from Vancouver to Montreal or Toronto, or in the reverse direction, to less than four days, and save a full business day. The train will be strictly limited; that is, will have space for sleeping car passengers only. In addition to the ordinary sleeping cars, compartment cars will run out of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. The new train will also be a great convenience for passengers from the Orient, who will be able to save a full business day in connecting with the Canadian Facific Steam­ ships from Montreal.

The time schedules of the Trans-Canada Limited show a running time of 93 hours, 30 minutes, westbound from Montreal to Vancouver, and 92 hours, 15 minutes, eastbound from Vancouver to Montreal. From Toronto to Vancouver, 89 hours, 45 minutes; from Vancouver to Toronto, 88 hours. j Only a limited quantity of personal baggage will be carried.

Arrives Montreal 6.45 p.m. daily.
