From the next table a MI5 counter-intelligence officer monitored the conversation that was meant to expose Moltke as a German spy and pass him incorrect information about the recent naval battle off Jutland. Later that summer Denmark was forced to transfer Moltke to the U.S., but at that time the disinformation passed to him and reinforced by the Danish Minister in London had already worsened a senses in Copenhagen that Denmark was moving closer become involved in the war. The article follows the chain of disinformation and events. One was the Danish Count Frederik Moltke, Ritmester (Cavalry Major) of the Guards Hussar Regiment, the Danish Household Cavalry. The two others were intelligence officials. The officer sharing Moltke’s table was Lieutenant-Com- mander Frank Stagg of the Secret Intelligence Service, Moltke’s official contact since his arrival in Britain one-and-a-half years earlier.

Thinning of Norway spruce. Doctor’s dissertation. I SSN 1652-6880, ISBN 978-91-576-7328-2 The objective of this thesis was to investigate volume and quality outcome from different thinning strategies in monocultures with Norway spruce. Two different experiments were set up at the Tönnersjöheden experimental forest in south west Sweden. In the first experiment, the combined effect of spacing and thinning type on timber quality and the spacing effect on volume production was investigated (paper I). In the second experiment, the initial growth response after thinning was investigated during three growing seasons in a 33 year old stand after removal of 0, 30- and 60% of the basal area (paper II and III). In a survey study, covering southern Sweden, the amount of thinning injuries to stems and coarse roots in spruce monocultures thinned with harvesters and forwarders was investigated (Paper IV). The total volume production was rather similar in the three spacings, 246, 226 and 232 m3 respectively (paper I). The quality of individual trees was to a large extent related to diameter at breast height and not to spacing per se. In the second experiment, heavy thinning increased soil moisture, light transmittance and soil temperature, and hence the nitrogen mineralization. The nitrogen content in the needles and the needle efficiency increased after heavy thinning but there were only small effects on those parameters for normally thinned plots.

I hope for the first …” On the intimacy Frederikke and Louise shared, 1791 From her marriage to Christian Ditlev Frederik Reventlow in 1774, until her death in 1822, Frederikke Reventlow exchanged weekly letters with her sister-in-law Louise Stolberg. Despite the fact that they rarely saw one another, the two friends had a confidential and close relationship that lasted over six decades and was expressed in the letters they wrote to each other. Museum Lolland-Falster’s annual exhibition this year is based on a selection of the letters Frederikke wrote to Louise. It is in these letters that she puts the life she lived and the thoughts she had about existence and the major events of one of Denmark’s most turbulent periods of history into words. Frederikke’s letters are a key to understanding the developments society and family life underwent at the end of the 1700s. Whilst war and economic depression rolled over Denmark’s borders, and the winds of political change blew in France, new values based on close family ties and a happy marriage gained ground. Values that Frederikke, in the many letters and papers she left to posterity, was an early spokeswoman for. In Frederikke’s own words, the exhibition invites us into a world of happy family times, the glamour and festivity of royal balls, and the joys and sorrows of raising children.

Der har været travlhed over hele skolen for (kirke, klosterbygning, DEK, mm). Kunst- Thémè - et oldgræsk ord, der betyder Vilje - at kunne stå flot og klar til den store jubilæ- neren Eva Steen Christensen har ladet sig det er den frie viljes kraft, der er grundlaget umsdag den 23. maj. inspirere af de mange ornamenter, der findes for store bedrifter - viljen er en del af os alle, på skolen, især i kirken - hun er især påvirket og er man sig dette bevidst, kan man i høj Og vi nåede næsten helt i land: ikke mindst af den hollandske renæssancekunstner Cor- grad bruge den positivt i sit liv. den nye Røde Plads og renoveringen af nelis Floris, som udførte adskillige værker for Helenhallen har været vigtige mål at nå - for- Herluf Trolle og Birgitte Gøye. Her tænkes Med dette værk har skolen fået et nyt, og et ude venter stadig renoveringen af Skolebyg- bl.a. på altertavlen, mindetavlen og sarkofa- spændende vartegn. Nyd det, bliv provoke- ningen (til efter jubilæet), og derudover så gen: fortællingen om ægteparrets stærke tro ret af det, lær af det. Det er med sin kraft og kom den nye skulptur i Nyhave til.
