Un autre Franciscain, Bernardin de Bustis, composa un office et une messe du S. Nom de Jésus en 1492, mais la fête ne fut officiellement au torisée dans l'Ordre qu'en 1530. Elle fut ensuite adoptée par la plupart des Ordres religieux et par de nombreux diocèses.
