We are glad you have chosen to join us. These policies are intended to give you an overview of your obligations and responsibilities during your employment here. We believe many of your questions about your work at Hajvery University Business School will be answered in these policies. The development or amendment of these policies is solely at the discretion of Hajvery University Business School. It is a good habit to check periodically to make sure you have the most recent version of these policies. These policies replace any previous versions and supersede any and all memoranda or , previous policies/practices here at Hajvery Universitv. It does not claim to be a comprehensive documentation of all of the Institutional matters. It is intended that this handbook will provide introductory information about the Institute to new and existing members of Hajvery University and will also serve as a convenient reference on I-IR policies and .procedures, This Handbook is also available on the official website. Of Pakistan as Degree Awarding University and is ranked as top category University by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). Hajvery University (HU) is an interdisciplinary research and teaching university offering 23+ degree programs from Bachelor's to Doctorate level, to over 8,500 male and female students studying in Seven diversified faculties. ' Teaching is a very important undertaking which necessitates effort, patience, commitment and focus. Your success in your studies is the primary goal of each of us. Methodology/Approach: A quantitative approach followed by survey research design was opted to complete the study on the competencies which are needed by library professionals for the implementation of Information Technology (IT) in the university library of Lahore, Pakistan. A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed among university librarians of Lahore. All questionnaires were sent through emails. 91 duly filled questionnaires were received by the researchers from the respondents. The response rate was 75.83%. Research limitation (s): This study is limited to the university library of Lahore, Pakistan. Key finding (s): Results of the study show that Librarians need IT skills for applying the latest technologies in their libraries.

To improve the quality of education/standard of Pakistani Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) towards improved Quality & Research. Introduction For the development and progress any country, Quality of higher education is the key factor. HEIs are considered to be the originators of change in technology and culture of the nations. In order to strengthen the quality of higher education in Pakistan, Higher Education Commission (HEC) has taken various initiatives to bring the HEIs of Pakistan at par with international standards. Ranking is one of the measures to scale the success of efforts of the HEIs to achieve the international competitiveness in education, research and innovation. Ranking is helpful for students, parents for selection of Institution for their education, it is also helpful for organizations both public and private for better election of graduates according to their needs. Rankings is a controversial subject all over the world, In spite of the difficulties associated in ranking, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan is the first one in the Islamic world that has done rankings thrice, 1st in 2006, 2nd in 2012 and 3rd in 2013; however the criteria over the period amended to respond to HEIs feedback and to make HEC's ranking more compatible with global rankings. Methodology Ranking Criteria for 2014 Ranking has been modified in the light of ground realities and feedback received from different HEIs about previous ranking criteria adopted.
