Day 1 – Monday, Nov 02

Evening flight to with El-Al Israeli airline. Nonstop flight. Arrive at Ben-Gurion airport in afternoon.

Day 2 – Tuesday, Nov 03 On arrival at Ben Gurion airport we meet our English-speaking guide. Enroute to the city of Jaffa to celebrate Mass at St. Peter church. We drive to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Wednesday, Nov 04

After a good night rest and delicious breakfast, we drive back to Jaffa for Mass and half a day of sightseeing of Jaffa and Tel-Aviv. The ancient port village famous for its association with the biblical stories of Jonah, King Solomon and Saint Peter. Then a tour of a tour of the Modern city of Tel-Aviv. The Fashion streets, Rabin Square and the Port of Tel-Aviv. Afternoon free for leisure. Enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the many Café’s in the area. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 4 – Thursday, Nov 05

We depart Tel-Aviv today and drive north the Mediterranean coast to the ancient Roman city of Caesarea Maritime. It was ere that St. Peter baptized Cornelius and was visited several times by St. Paul who ended up being held captive by the Romans before being sent to Rome. Continue north to Mount Carmel where Elijah challenged the false God’s of Baal. Here we celebrate Mass at the beautiful Carmelite Monastery of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. North again to the Crusader city of Acre where we visit the old city with the ancient Crusader Fortress, lunch at the Arab market. After lunch we drive East across the country true the Galilee mountains to the Galilean city of Tiberius. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Friday, Nov 06

Today we truly begin our walk in the footsteps of Jesus. We began with a visit to the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Here we celebrate Mass outdoors overlooking the Sea of Galilee. We then journey around the lake to Tabgha where Jesus performed the miracle of the multiplication of Fish and Loaves. Capernaum the town that Jesus lived in at the home of Simon Peter and where he worshipped in the . Lunch (included) will be at a Seaside restaurant that features St. Peter Fish. After lunch continue to the ancient villages of Bethsaida, Corazim and the Yardnit where the Jordan river begins its journey to the Dead Sea. Back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Saturday, Nov 07 We begin the day with a Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where we celebrate Mass. We continue north to Caesarea Philippi originally built as a city to the God Pan but later where Simon Peter endorsed Jesus as the Son of God and Jesus handed Peter the Keys to the Kingdom. Continue up the Golan and visit to Tel Dan who was one of the twelve tribes of , and the Dan River which is one of the three sources that form the Jordan River. We stop for lunch at one of the Druz restaurant’s and visit a Druz Village. After lunch we make our way back with a stop at a winery, heading east to Golan to the Valley of Tears the site of a major battle in the Yom Kippur war in 1973. Back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Sunday, Nov 08 Today we depart the north and drive south to the lower Galilee to the village of Cana which according to John’s Gospel Jesus performed his first miracle, the miracle of changing water into wine. Continue to Nazareth – the hometown of the Holy Family. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation where we celebrate Mass, see the Grotto, it is here that the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary asking her to bear the Christ Child. Notice the sign under the altar that in Latin says: - “verbum Caro Factum Est” – the word has become flesh here. Stop for lunch in one of the restaurants in Nazareth. Depart the north and driving south via the Jordan Valley to . Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8 – Monday, Nov 09

We start the day once again walking in the footsteps of Jesus in Jerusalem. We start at Mount of Olives and walk down the same path taken by Jesus on his triumphal entry into the Holy city. Stop at ascension of Jesus into Heaven which is now a part of a Mosque complex. Then walkdown the Mt. of Olives to the Chapel of Dominus Flavit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We keep going down then enter the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed while his Apostles slept. We can stand at the edge of the garden and view what Jesus saw as he prayed to his Father and he was arrested. We cross the street and enter the Old City through the Lions Gate viewing the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock which stands where the Temple once stood. From here we will begin walking the Via Dolorosa as we pray the stations of the Cross, stopping at the Pilate’s Judgment Hall, also called the Antonia fortress where Pilate condemned Jesus to death. We conclude the “way of the Cross” inside the magnificent Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Here we will celebrate MASS. From here we go to the Upper room where Jesus celebrated the last supper – the Passover night - and the tomb of King David, Dormition Abbey and the Church of Peter Gallicantu, BETTER KNOWN AS THE House of Caiaphas. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Tuesday, Nov 10

Today we travel to the border between Israel and the Palestinian Territories to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus. We celebrate MASS at the Church of the Nativity, and a visit to Shepherd’s Field. Lunch (include) at a typical Palestinian restaurant and time for shopping at a Christian store. Return to Jerusalem and walk through an underground tunnel along the Western Wall. Visit the City of David with the new discoveries. Return to our hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Wednesday, Nov 11

A fun day begins. We drive to the Jordan River to the baptism place where John baptized Jesus to Kasar El-Yahud where we celebrate MASS. From there through the desert to Qumran, the village where the Death Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Continue to the southern resort city in Israel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – Thursday, Nov 12

Early morning transfer to the border with Jordan. From here a Jordanian guide will take us to the Red City of Petra, about 2 hour drive. Visit this magnificent Nabatin city in the Moab Mountains, a city that was built in the Red Rocks which the people just disappear one day. We walk down the Canyon but return on a Donkey or Horse and Baggy… return to Eilat for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Friday, Nov 13

We leave Eilat and drive north to the Dead Sea for a few hours of leisure. Will stop on one of the beaches for a swim and Mud Bath. Return to Jerusalem for Dinner and overnight.

Day 13 – Saturday, Nov 14

A free day for leisure. Go back to the Old City and visit your favorite places. Take one more walk on the Via Dolorosa and the churches, the marketplace, or just relax at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 14 – Sunday, Nov 15 This morning will celebrate MASS at the Notre Dame Church, will view the Shrine of Turin and the small exhibit. Continue to Ein Karem, the birth place of John the Baptist and the place of the visitation of Mary with her cousin Elizabeth - and celebrate MASS. From here a short distance to Yad Vashem – the Holocaust Museum. Return to the City for a walk in the famous Market Machne Yehuda. Try the local food and enjoy every life in this beautiful city. Back to our hotel for a farewell dinner and overnight.

Day 15 – Monday, Nov 16

The tour is over… morning transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
