Friday 24 february

Departure (for those with reserved tour+flight) with flight LY 382 at 10:45 from Milano Malpensa; arrival at Ben Gurion airport , at 15:45 local me Transfer to Tel Aviv . Registraon at Tel Aviv Dan Panorama Hotel for 1 night (breakfast included) Welcome Dinner, hosted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Israel Museum, Mr.Itzhak Molho and Mrs. Shlomit Molho, in Cesarea

Saturday 25 february

Day in Tel Aviv. Visit Tel Aviv Museum of Art (modern and contemporary art). Followed by city tour, from its origins, the old Jaffa neighbourhood, typical Neve Tzedek, the White City architecture and Bauhaus buildings, (Unesco heritage). Quick lunch in a local restaurant , or hosted by Israeli Friends . Visit of the modern Design Museum in Holon (Ron Arad) Transfer to (around 17:30) Registraon at Jerusalem Dan Panorama Hotel for 4 nights (breakfast included) Dinner hosted by Israeli Friends (at private home).

Sunday 26 february

Tour of Jerusalem Old City: the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the jewish quarter, the Cardo and the Wailing Wall. Quick lunch at the Israel Museum Cafeteria Guided tour of the Israel Museum, with the directors of various wings, the Shrine of the Book, the Sculpture Garden, the new exhibions Dinner hosted by Israeli Friends (at private home).

Monday 27 february

Jerusalem tour of the Yad Vashem Memorial and Holocaust Museum Visit of the Herodium, Herod’s majesc burial place discovered by recent archeological excavaons Transfer to Betlehem and visit of the Church of the Navity Quick lunch in typical restaurant Dinner hosted by Israeli Friends (at private home)

Tuesday 28 february

Transfer through the Judaean desert to the Masada Fortress, built by Herod, last outpost of Jewish rebellion against the Romans, fallen in 73 CE. Lunch at Ein Gedi kibbutz, in a desert resort. Visit at Qumran on the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, in one of the most important archeological finds of the 20 th century; the Scrolls are now on exhibion at the Israel Museum “Shrine of the Book” Free evening and dinner

Wednesday 1 March

Hotel check out In Jerusalem, visit of the Italian and tour of the U. Nahon Italian Jewish art Museum Brief tour of the typical Mahane Yehuda fruit and vegetables and handicra market. Free lunch.

14:20 (for those with reserved flight): transfer to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, departure with flight El Al LY 387 at 18:20- Arrival in Milano Malpensa at 21:45 local me.
