DAY ONE – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13TH – ARRIVAL (TRANSFER ONLY) (SUKKOT EVE) • Arrival #1 at Ben Gurion Airport on flight LY 346 at 4:05 pm (4 pax) where you will be met by our representatives and escorted through passport control, baggage claim and customs and brought to your driver. • Arrival #2 at Ben Gurion Airport on flight OS 861 at 5:45 pm (2 pax) where you will be met by our representatives and escorted through passport control, baggage claim and customs and brought to your driver. • Transfer to the hotel & check in. • Holiday dinner on own at the hotel. DAY TWO – MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH – JUDEAN DESERT (GUIDE & CAR) (SUKKOT DAY 1) • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel. • Ascend to the top of Masada on foot, and explore the fascinating remains of King Herod's palace, the roman style bath house, ancient store rooms and watch towers. Here you'll learn about the mass suicide that occurred during the Roman siege on the fortress and why the site represents the values of heroism, martyrdom, and courage. • Float in the Dead Sea at Crowne Plaza Dead Sea, including lunch and benefit from the rejuvenating properties of its hypersaline water and mud. At more than 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea's banks are the lowest point on earth. DAY THREE – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH – SHFELA/NEW JERUSALEM (GUIDE & CAR) • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel • 9:30 am - Explore the archaeological wonders hidden within Beit Guvrin National Park with the Archaeological Seminars Institute. Here you will get to dig, sift, and examine pottery through an exciting tour of the unexcavated cave systems of the park. • Lunch en-route • Drop some of the family back at the hotel. • 2:15 pm - Established in 1953, Yad Vashem is Israel’s official Holocaust memorial site and the definitive source for Holocaust education, documentation, and research. Come and learn about the victims of the Holocaust, Jews who fought their Nazi oppressors, and non-Jews who aided the victims of this tragic event. • Return to the hotel for the evening at leisure. • 6:00 pm - Dinner on your own at Luciana Mamilla. • 8:00 pm - Enjoy the Sound & Light Show at the Tower of David. DAY FOUR – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16TH – OLD CITY JERUSALEM (GUIDE & CAR) • Full Israeli breakfast at the hotel and check out. • Explore the City of David, where your tour will begin with a breathtaking hilltop view of Biblical Jerusalem, and continue on through 3,800 years of history. You will see historical and archaeological finds from both the First and Second Temple periods, and even venture underground to the Gihon Spring. • Walk through Hezekiah’s water tunnel. Here you will trek through knee-deep water while exploring this magnificent 2,700-year-old historical site. • Lunch in the Old City. • Explore the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem, and experience the rich history and culture of the Jewish people through its Yeshivas, synagogues, and of course the Western Wall. You will be shown the glorious mountain terrain while also learning about the politics and history of the region. • 12:30 pm - Tour Kibbutz Lavi where you will be taken on a tour of their very own kibbutz furniture factory, and tour the beautiful kibbutz synagogue, furnished with benches made on- site.
