The loss of a loved one is always difficult. But here at Our Lady of Mount Virgin, we will do our best to ease your sadness through offering our support and prayers. We are always here to welcome you, especially as you move through these first days ‐‐ from your loved one’s death through the vigil to the funeral and final committal. This is our time as a parish family to take care of you, to guide you in prayer. Help us plan the Funeral liturgy that suits your family’s specific devotion. In planning the ceremony, please refer to our church policy. Use the form provided to indicate your choices of Scripture Readings and music for the Funeral Mass. If you are uncomfortable with making these choices, we would be glad to assist you. Please select two people to carry forward the gifts of bread and wine to the altar during Mass. Additional family members may be selected, if needed, to carry forward a flower, which would be placed on the casket. A priest or member of our staff will be in contact with your family at the vigil service. At that time, we hope to gather information about your loved one, as we always do our best to offer words that are personal and meaningful during the funeral service.
