Lignano - by hosting the European Masters Games - once again proved its ability to host great sport events. I would especially like to express my gratitude to all the volunteers who gave up their time to be part of the event, and without whom there would have been no Games. I also thank the hard work and dedication the Organizing committee put into the event. The European Masters Games 2011 have set a new benchmark for future host cities to meet.
